Did you know that domestic and family violence affects more than 3.6 million Australians every year?

Thank you to the St Patrick's College and St John Fisher College students and staff who braved the inclement weather for our first Darkness to Daylight walk for 2026 on Friday.

This May, we're inviting our whole community to take a stand against domestic violence. Join us at Shorncliffe Pier at 6.30am on Friday May 15, 22 and 29 as we walk in solidarity with victims and to advocate for a future free from violence.

This week, more than 300 student leaders from over 60 Catholic schools across the Edmund Rice global network gathered for the EREA/EREBB Student Leaders Global Dialogues, hosted by Edmund Rice Education Australia.

Students explored leadership, faith, service, and global solidarity, building connections across continents and learning that leadership is not about having all the answers, but about working together to make a difference.

Inspired by the words of Pope Francis — “Todos, todos, todos” "Everyone, everyone, everyone" — students were reminded that everyone belongs, everyone has a voice, and everyone can make a difference.

As one student shared:

“Global dialogues move a leader from ‘I have the answer’ to ‘We have the tools to find the answer together.”

These dialogues don’t end here. The young leaders will continue to connect, collaborate and lead for justice, compassion, faith and service throughout the year.
