A new Gateway by ICN page has launched today offering a unique way to engage with one of Victoria’s landmark renewable energy projects.

Unlike our standard Gateway pages, this page is designed as an information hub. While there are no work packages listed for EOIs, it provides a clear pathway for suppliers to learn more and connect via the project’s dedicated website.

The SEC Delburn Wind Farm is a major milestone for Victoria set to become the state’s first 100% publicly owned, utility-scale wind farm.
📍 Located in Gippsland
⚡ 33 turbines generating 205 MW
🏠 Powering 130,000+ homes
👷 Creating 300+ jobs
💰~ $650M investment into Victoria’s clean energy future

With construction now underway and delivery through to 2028, this project represents significant long-term opportunities for local industry particularly across civil, electrical, and supporting services.

A major new opportunity is now live on Gateway by ICN

The Marinus Link project is a nation-shaping energy infrastructure initiative connecting Tasmania and Victoria – promoting renewable energy investment and strengthening the national grid.

TasVic Greenlink (TVGL), a joint venture between DT Infrastructure and Samsung C&T Corporation has been appointed to deliver key components of the project, including:
🔹Two converter stations (Heybridge, TAS and Hazelwood, VIC)
🔹Installation of major electrical equipment (HVDC technology)
🔹90km of underground cable civil works across Gippsland

This is where local industry comes in. TVGL is preparing to release multiple work packages across:
🔹Civil works
🔹Electrical
🔹Plumbing
🔹Steel

They are seeking Expressions of Interest from capable suppliers, with a strong focus on safety and delivery excellence.

Importantly, there are targeted opportunities for SMEs, social enterprises and sole traders, particularly those based in Gippsland and North West Tasmania—ensuring local businesses can play a role in this national energy infrastructure project.

With delivery running through to 2030, this is a long-term pipeline of opportunity for the supply chain.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for ICN Victoria’s Infrastructure Outlook: State Budget Breakdown for SMEs .

A big thank you to the Deputy Secretary Infrastructure, Kate O’Sullivan, from the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria for her excellent presentation — breaking down the State Budget in a way that was clear, practical, and easy to understand for SMEs.

It was great to see businesses come together to gain a clearer understanding of Victoria’s infrastructure pipeline, explore where opportunities may exist and hear practical insights into priorities, project activity and pathways to participation. Just as importantly, the session created space for valuable connections across the infrastructure and government project ecosystem.
