It was heartening to see the community feedback (that Balwyn Rotary contributed to) on City of Boroondara Biodiversity Action Plan reflected in the amended draft plan.

Please join Friends of Belmont Park Balwyn for our first Community Planting Day next Saturday 13 June by getting your free ticket via this link.

We are putting in 800 plants to grow habitat for the small birds that are missing from the park.

City of Boroondara project was a fabulous way to learn how to care for nature in our urban areas.

Top priorities are creating habitat for small birds and reducing hazards such as illegal tree netting.

Before today's Friends of Belmont Park Balwyn bi monthly working bee - I spent 5 minutes picking up litter from the gutter.

Keeping our waterways healthy literally starts at home.

Picking up litter from the gutter is an easy and effective way for everyone to be part of the solution.

Behaviour Works (Monash University) are leaders in research that identifies and supports the most impactful positive environmental behaviours. I always learn something from their webinars. Their presentations at the most recent Victorian Biodiversity Conference at Melbourne University were inspiring.

The webinar is a fabulous synergy with Rotary International's partnership project with the UN - Environmental Program - the global Community Action for Clean Water project.

Local landscape architect Jen Martin has been collaborating with Rotary Club of Balwyn Inc. nature strip transformations for some time.

Currently she has a transformed naturestrip exhibit at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show .
