Hey Olympic Village, THAT WAS AWESOME! 🤩👏🥳
Yesterday we laughed, cried (at the weather!), danced, perused lovely handmade goodies, jumped with the circus in the courts, cuddled a snake, ate delicious local food and bbq, face painted, henna’d, shared words, drew pictures, listened and read stories, played with toys, giant SES trucks!, plants, playdough, did yoga, shadow puppetted, drummed, sang, and more!
On Wurundjeri land we celebrated and explored the history and our connection to the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, our homes and village.
What a community we have. Thank you for humouring us and proving what we already knew, that heidy west and surrounds and the Olympic village are host to some of the most creative, passionate, talented baddass humans around 💪
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who came, all the market stalls who braved the weather, the performers and local groups and orgs who shared their impressive offerings with us.
