The Melbourne Chapter of ICAI Inc. The Chapter is in its 10th year of operation and has a current membership base of more than 100

qualified, skilled and experienced members and is growing.

The Melbourne Chapter of ICAI (The Chapter), ABN 21 815 854 060, was incorporated on

25thOctober 2006 under the Associations Incorporation Act, 1981 as a not-for-profit organisation. Its mission is to provide a forum as an overseas chapter for the members of the ICAI in Australia to

advance the professional competence of the members, and to explore and secure mutual

recognition agreement and /o

r memorandum of understanding with accounting bodies of Australia

under the guidance and support of the ICAI. Its members are employed in diverse

industries in Australia including financial services, superannuation, information technology,

education, telecommunications and media, professional services, quarrying and manufacturing. It

holds regular CPD sessions for professional development of its members through a series of in-
person meetings and webinars. The Chapter organised its first International Conference in February 2016 which had speakers from

the ICAI, CPA Australia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deakin University, Australia India Institute, Invest

Victoria, and Charter Keck Cramer. A Red Cross blood donation camp was also organised by the

Chapter in June 2016 as a corporate social responsibility initiative.
