A Beacon of Hope - The Next Generation is an organization run by the youth, for the youth. Instagram: abeaconofhope

Managed by a group of young leaders from Melbourne, A Beacon of Hope is a nonprofit organisation that was established in 2013 as a small group and has now grown into a larger organisation. We at A Beacon of Hope aim to organise recreational and educational events for the youth and the community by using our own skills, professions, talents and ideas. We hope to make it an enjoyable experience for anyone who wishes to get involved.

A Beacon of Hope was honoured to attend the historic celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi at Parliament House on Wednesday, 17th September. Marking 1,500 years since the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him and his family), this milestone gathering at such a significant venue highlighted the recognition and respect for our shared heritage within the broader community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to AMAFHH Federation for the kind invitation and for bringing together such a diverse gathering in unity.

Congratulations to Golden Troops for being crowned champions of the 2025 BOH Community Futsal Tournament!

A huge thank you to all 8 teams for their participation - playing with spirit, skill, and passion, and putting on a fantastic spectacle for everyone who came to watch.

Also, a shoutout to our runners-up, the Invincibles, for an outstanding effort, and congratulations to their very own Mohamed Al-Jibury, who lit up the night with a massive 20 goals to claim the Golden Boot.

Beyond the goals and trophies, this tournament was about bringing people together—strengthening community ties, celebrating local talent, and showing the power of participation in uniting us all.

Finally, a massive thank you to our major sponsors Lion Heart Electrical and the Melbourne Foot & Ankle Group for making the event possible, as well as Pizza Arena for catering the event with their delicious pizza.

A Beacon of Hope proudly presents our Community Futsal Tournament, and the group stage line-ups are here!

Some of the best footballing talent and technical ability our community has to offer will be on display, and we urge you all to come down and watch our highly skilled boys in action. There will be a trophy presentation upon completion of the event, and food & drinks will be provided.

A Beacon of Hope is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Futsal soccer tournament on Friday, 19th September.

Eight teams will be participating in a tournament comprised of two groups of four, with the two best performed teams from each group to face off in the knockout stage. Limited spots are available so make sure to be quick and confirm your place.

On Sunday, 10th August, our team visited the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Donor Centre and donated blood to save lives in the name of Imam Hussain (as).

A total of 15 members donated blood on the day, to commemorate the anniversary of the tragedy of Karbala - where Imam Hussain (as) made the ultimate sacrifice in his stand against injustice and oppression.

During this period of commemoration, we seek to reflect on our own lives and draw inspiration from the lessons of Karbala, using them to motivate us toward good deeds and charitable acts that benefit our community.

God willing we have the blessing to continue to serve in the path of the Ahlul Bayt (as) for many more years to come.
