Our organization was founded with the belief that every child deserves love, security, and opportunity, regardless of their circumstances. As a community we can be better than this. In fact, Allah instructed us to be better than this in his words:
‘They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215
Why We Exist:
In Egypt, thousands of orphaned children face poverty, lack of education, and limited access to healthcare. Without support, many struggle to meet their basic needs. The Egyptian Orphan Fund Australia is here to change that. By working directly with communities and ensuring that every donation goes towards real, meaningful change, we create a future where orphans feel valued, supported, and capable of achieving their dreams. We exist to uplift orphaned children in Egypt by addressing their educational, health, nutritional, emotional, and recreational needs. Our goal is to empower them with essential life skills, helping them become self-reliant and hopeful for a better future. Orphan sponsorship is $75 a month. Donations can be paid annually, six monthly or monthly, what ever best suits your circumstances. Your donations will be distributed directly to orphans and orphan families, knowing that you have entrusted us with one of the most important acts of humanity - Your charity. We will share with you the stories and progress of the orphans which you support including their name and circumstances. We will share with you their progress so that you can see for yourselves what a difference you are making. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "I and the one who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them a little"
