Evening All! Hope you have all had a wonderful Labour Day Weekend. Just wanted to remind you all about our next upcoming event.

🎮 *Game On @ Fortress!* 🎮

We’re wrapping up the school holidays with something a little different - an afternoon at Fortress Melbourne that’s just as much for the gamer dads as it is for the kids!

📍 Fortress Melbourne
🎟 $10 per ticket (kids and adults) - Registration essential

It’s the last weekend of the school holidays, so whether you’re looking for one final outing with the kids - or a bit of a dad’s afternoon out - this one ticks both boxes.

We’ve secured private console booths, giving us our own space to game together. Kids can squad up and do their thing. Dads can jump in, start their own game, grab a drink or some food, or just hang out. There’s also PC play, arcades and board games available. There really is something for almost anyone.

If you’ve never been to Fortress before, this is the perfect opportunity to check it out with a relaxed, like-minded crew.

Whether it turns into tweens vs dads, kids carrying their parents, or parallel gaming sessions with good chat in between - we’ve got a feeling this one’s going to be a great afternoon.

Hi VistaPrint team,

We’re reaching out publicly in the hope of some allyship and a little local help during Pride season in Victoria.

We’ve ordered t-shirts for the Midsumma Festival for our Rainbow Dads community. We’ve been advised they’re being produced in Melbourne (Derrimut) and will be ready tomorrow (Friday), but are scheduled to be posted and won’t arrive until Monday, the day after the march.

We’ve tried resolving this privately, but haven’t yet been able to connect with someone who can help us think flexibly about the situation.

This Sunday, 40+ dads and our families are planning to march together in the 2025 Midsumma Pride March. For many of us, this is about showing up visibly, proudly, and together as parents during Pride. The shirts really matter to our sense of belonging on the day.

If it’s possible to allow collection from Derrimut before dispatch, it would mean a great deal to our community and would be a powerful show of allyship during Pride Month.

We’d be very grateful if someone from the Vistaprint Australia team could comment or DM us so we can sort this out quickly.

What a fantastic afternoon! A huge thank you to the 8 dads and their amazing daughters who joined us on Sunday for our Daddy Daughter Hair workshop with Abbey at Simply Stunnin' Hair and Beauty

It was brilliant to see so many dads learning new hairstyling skills and spending some quality time with their daughters. We hope you all had as much fun as we trying to master the Dutch braid!

Missed out this time? Don't worry! We'll be hosting another Daddy Daughter Hair workshop later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled for more details.

WOW! What a day! 🎉 We are absolutely blown away by the incredible turnout at today's Rainbow Dads Playgroup launch!

To see so much colour, connection, and community in one place was truly heart warming. We had a fantastic 79 attendees, representing 25 families, and we're thrilled to welcome 6 of those families as brand new faces to the RDV fold!

And what a fitting day to launch, on IDAHOBIT, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the violence and discrimination experienced by the LGBTIQIA+ community. This playgroup is a testament to our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and celebratory space for rainbow dads and their children.

A massive thank you to everyone who made the day so special:

Frock Hudson, your storytelling was absolutely captivating! 📖✨
Balloon and Brush, the face painting and balloons were a HUGE hit! 🎈🎨
Platter Pus your catering was delicious and much appreciated! 🥪
Daily Drip you kept us all caffeinated and ready to play! ☕️

We also greatly appreciate the attendance of the Councillors and representatives from Yarra City Council: Cr Sharon Harrison, Cr Kenneth Gomez, and Jacinta Harper (Team Leader Family Programs and Inclusion).

And a BIG thank you to all the families who this is all for! Without you, the playgroup would be pointless.

Today was just the beginning, and we're so excited to see this playgroup continue flourish and provide a vital space for dads to connect, share experiences, and build lifelong friendships. We've got lots of exciting things in the works for RDV, so stay tuned!
