In 1987 an estimated 800,000 people flocked to the the Golden Gate Bridge for its 50th anniversary. The weight of the large crowd caused the bridge to sag 7 feet, flattening its usual convex shape. Engineer Daniel E. Mohn reaffirmed the bridge was not overstressed as a result of Bridgewalk ‘87.

Lotus Group Projects Inc is a coordinated self-help/ mutual support collective of people most of whom identify with having a neurological impairment but supporters are also welcome to join.
When funding allows Lotus Group offers community awareness raising workshops and projects promoting inner peace and displaying the skills of people with disabilities.
The group meets fortnightly providing mutual support in Ross House 247 Flinders Lane not far from Flinders Street Station.
