Malaita May 2026 Day 8 & 9
Kolofi Community Clinic and Primary School
Again in spite of the huge challenges of terrain and weather another community now thrives with their new water supply as well as the Clinic which serves a catchment of 1000 and a school of 200 students.

Malaita May 2026 - Days 3 to 5
The Fau'abu water project was a challenge that neighbouring villages said would not be achieved.
In spite of that we had lots of laughs with the local kids during construction time, huge celebration with the locals when the water flowed and a colourful and festive evening in a display of dancing to consolidate the efforts of everyone.

Malaita May 2026 - Day 1&2
Sulione and its neighbouring villages Bauro and Lele nearly 200 strong received water for the first time. This land mark event was a huge celebration for the region and sets a firm foundation for future development.

Malaita Project Delivered
Our May Project was a fabulous success in spite of huge challenge and also full of promise for the locations that were scoped for our next journey.
Thanks to our in-country representative Pr Suri and his team and my devoted team member Peter Caldwell.

MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
Sulione is one of many communities waiting for water and this child is one of many also waiting for not only water but a better quality of life.
Sulione will share its water supply with 3 other neighbouring communities giving the project a higher impact and better outcomes for many others.

MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
Kolofi received its first health and scoping project in June of 2024. In spite of their daily struggle this community has a spirit of generosity. In fact one member demolished his house to build the first primary school classroom (pictured below) which opened this month February 2026. The also have plans to build a kindergarten. A storage unit has also been constructed since this location will be somewhat of a depot for SPAH’s project materials due to its strategic location. The village also has a clinic with a catchment of 1000 people. The main road has also been reconstructed.
As water goes in this May it stands to become a center of influence in its district as it continues to develop and thrive.

MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
Fau’Abu community have a heart of gratitude and service and greeted us festively. This delightful and humble community were pivotal in out last project. Their land owners provided a water supply for the two islands where we installed water in October 2025. Their relationship is wonderfully reciprocal in that the communities from these two islands will be assisting in this water installation in May this year.
