MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
Kolofi received its first health and scoping project in June of 2024. In spite of their daily struggle this community has a spirit of generosity. In fact one member demolished his house to build the first primary school classroom (pictured below) which opened this month February 2026. The also have plans to build a kindergarten. A storage unit has also been constructed since this location will be somewhat of a depot for SPAH’s project materials due to its strategic location. The village also has a clinic with a catchment of 1000 people. The main road has also been reconstructed.
As water goes in this May it stands to become a center of influence in its district as it continues to develop and thrive.

MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
Fau’Abu community have a heart of gratitude and service and greeted us festively. This delightful and humble community were pivotal in out last project. Their land owners provided a water supply for the two islands where we installed water in October 2025. Their relationship is wonderfully reciprocal in that the communities from these two islands will be assisting in this water installation in May this year.

More smiling faces waiting.

MALAITA PROJECT MAY 2026
As our freight sails toward the Solomon Islands for our next series of installations, our target communities are waiting in eager expectation of their water supply and health programs.
Our partners in the Malaita Province have organized a team of 33 people to organize the communities to make preparations for our arrival. They will also be involved in ongoing support and project custodianship.
All of these initiatives are key elements in ensuring project success and longevity.
Our 1st port of call will be Aikalo; a friendly and festive community who will receive water for the first time ever.

Malaita Oct 2025 Day 5 to 8
SPAH and its partners undertook one of its most ambitious projects yet. Water was supplied to 2 man made islands; Niuleni nd Funafou, occupied for the last 100 years serving 500 people.

Our supply line ran for 3 km with 1km going under the ocean through the lagoon thanks to the seasoned divers of the villages who placed the line using concrete weights 8 meters under the water.
