The third annual Big Sing for a Big Cause at Australian Catholic University (ACU) advocates for climate action and environmental protection. Featured piece is the Australian premiere of *Songs of the Reef*, music by Cassie To. The piece sets text by Cherissma Blackman-Costelloe, a Gurang, Meeroni, and Gooreng Gooreng woman. Her words tell the reef's creation story belonging to the Yidinji people.

Collaborators and guests include Essendon Symphony Orchestra (ESO), Climate Choir Melbourne, Justice Choir-Melbourne and many more! Opportunity for CHILDREN’S CHOIR. Partners include Yarra Climate Action Now - YCAN and the City of Yarra.

SCHEDULE
Concert: Saturday October 10.
Choir rehearsals: Start in August at ACU (Melb), Wednesday lunchtimes (starting 12 Aug) Monday evenings from 17 Aug).
Orchestra rehearsals Tues evenings in Moonee Ponds with ESO, from 1 Sept.

Mission accomplished! We’re excited to report that more than $21,000 was raised by Street Requiem on the Ridge to help support 1000 people who are homeless through the indefatigable work of the Mornington Community Support Centre, Western Port Community Support, and Southern Peninsula Community Support.

Thank you to all who participated, were involved in, or supported this special project in ways large or small, including Flinders Fringe Festival, Uncommon Folk, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Makepisi + Valanga Khoza + Andrea Khoza, Noa Smith Fletcher, Uncle Lionel Lauch, Voices of Frankston Choir Inc + Kerry Gerraty + Trudells LJ, RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio, Cheryl Threadgold, Andy Payne, Claire Thorn, John Thorn, Paulien George, Upbeat Arts, Audrie Sexton-McGuire, Victoria Welsh Male Choir, Brunswick North West Primary School, Saltbush Balnarring Beach, Suzanne Marryatt, Poul Grage, Simon Stone, Zara Barrett, Caroline Vercoe, and SO MANY others! A community effort.
