🌹 Women's Muharram Gathering 🌹

All sisters are warmly invited to join us tomorrow afternoon for a special Muharram gathering.

Together, we will reflect on the significance of the blessed month of Muharram, discuss the lessons and events of Karbala, and learn about the inspiring life, character, and sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA).

The program will also include:
📖 Quran recitation and reflection
🤲 Spiritual discussions and remembrance
🍽️ Food and refreshments
💐 An opportunity to connect with sisters in the community

We welcome all ladies to attend and benefit from this meaningful gathering.

Today, Afghan Hope Hut Victoria (AHHV) volunteers proudly partnered with West Footscray Neighbourhood House to prepare and serve a delicious community meal for local elderly residents.

This initiative was a wonderful opportunity to give back, share kindness, and strengthen community connections. Through food, conversation, and volunteering, we celebrated the values of respect, inclusion, and care for our senior community members.
Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community.

AHHV Community Presentation at Refugee Week Multicultural Gathering!

On 17 June 2026, representatives of Afghan Hope Hut Victoria (AHHV) participated in the Refugee Week Multicultural Gathering organized by the AMES Australia and the City of Melbourne.

The event brought together diverse multicultural communities to celebrate the contributions, resilience, and achievements of refugees in Australia.

During the gathering, AHHV introduced the organization, its establishment, vision, purpose, and ongoing community activities. We shared information about our programs that support Afghan and multicultural communities through cultural events, education, community engagement, youth development, and social inclusion initiatives.

As part of the cultural showcase, AHHV proudly presented traditional Afghan cuisine, including Mantu, Qabili Palau, Chicken Qorma, fresh Salad, and Afghan Chutney. The food was warmly received by attendees and provided an opportunity to promote Afghan culture, hospitality, and traditions.

The event was a valuable opportunity to connect with community members, strengthen partnerships, and highlight the positive contributions of the Afghan community within Australia's multicultural society.

AHHV appreciates the efforts of AMES Australia and the City of Melbourne for organizing this meaningful Refugee Week celebration and providing a platform for communities to share their stories, cultures, and experiences.
