This is what community leadership looks like behind the scenes!
While most people spend their weekends resting with their families, our volunteer board spends Sundays planning, meeting, and working for our community.
Like many community organisations, all of us have full-time jobs and family responsibilities during the week. Weekends are the only time we can come together to keep our association running. We don't have paid staff or childcare, so our children come with us.
At this meeting:
Khalida (Director) attended with her two children.
Sahar (Secretary) attended with her two children.
Lida (Board Member) attended with her two children.
Razia (Treasurer) attended with her child.
Our children grow up watching their mothers serve the community. Sometimes they play around us, sometimes they sit quietly, and sometimes they become part of the meeting. This is the reality of grassroots community work.
Every program we deliver, every event we organise, every grant we apply for, and every family we support is made possible through the dedication of volunteers who give up their personal time because they believe in building a stronger, more connected community.
We are deeply grateful for everyone who supports our projects—especially those that create opportunities for women and children. Your support doesn't just fund activities; it helps volunteer families like ours continue serving the community with hope, commitment, and heart.
This is how we work. This is who we are. And together, we're building a brighter future for the next generation. ❤️
