💪 The Push-Up Challenge starts today!

Throughout June, thousands of people across Australia will take on 3,307 push-ups while raising awareness and vital funds for youth mental health and wellbeing.

Behind every push-up is a powerful reminder of why this challenge matters. The target of 3,307 reflects the number of lives lost to su***de in Australia in 2024. Behind every number is a person, and behind every person are families, friends and communities who continue to live with that loss.

Every push-up, donation and conversation helps support young people to access the mental health support they need, when they need it most.

A huge good luck to everyone taking part this year. We’ll be cheering you on every step (and push-up!) of the way 💚

Haven’t signed up yet? There’s still time to join the challenge via the link in our bio.

Not taking part? You can still make a difference by donating to support youth mental health.

Today is National Sorry Day. A day to acknowledge and honour the strength, resilience and ongoing journeys of Stolen Generation survivors, their families and communities. We also recognise the lasting impacts of forced child removal and the ways these continue to affect First Nations children, young people, families and communities today.

At headspace, we believe every First Nations young person has the right to access culturally safe, inclusive and healing-centred support.

If today brings up difficult feelings, support is available. Visit the link in our bio to explore support options.🖤💛❤️

Today, we’re standing with LGBTIQA+ young people for IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia. 🌈

New findings from the headspace National Youth Mental Health Survey found LGBTIQA+ young people are experiencing higher levels of loneliness compared to all young people. This highlights the impact discrimination, exclusion and lack of acceptance can have on young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

The survey also found that LGBTIQA+ young people are leading the way in accessing professional mental health support, reflecting the strength of community, connection and safe, affirming spaces.

Swipe through to hear from some of our headspace staff and youth advisors on the importance of feeling safe and supported for who you are.

For more information and support, check out the resources from our friends at or visit the IDAHOBIT website to learn how you can get involved.
