Recently we organised 48 senior community members from from the local Indian community across Melton, to enjoy a day out in Wombat State Forest as part of the Discover Our Forests program, funded by DEECA and delivered in partnership with Outdoors Victoria. Incredible forest, eagles flying above and lunch cooked over a camp fire. One gentlemen summarised the day with "joy and Kindness". Well done Mindalk Primary School on your first Athletics Day - just before the Commonwealth Games! It was great for Edmund Rice Community Services VIC to pay a small role. Well done to the St Bernard's College Essendon students for helping on the day - this really made a difference to its success.

"I love this", "This is the best" and "I'm having so much fun" were the comments I overheard the children from St Marianne Cope Primary School at Mt Atkinson say as the enjoyed a 7.8km bushwalk in Wombat State Forest as part of the Discover Our Forests program, funded by DEECA and delivered in partnership with Outdoors Victoria. Day 3 and the final of our three-day Active in Nature Pathways program with Youth Projects. While learning about possible career or study options in the outdoors. The crew enjoyed the social interaction with each other and the wellbeing benefits off physical activity outside.
We wish everyone the best with what ever path they choose to take.
