There are over 105,000 people in Australia who are homeless. Bright Sparqe’s outreach program is focused on purchasing food and collecting donated end-of-day edible produce from bakeries, cafes’ and supermarkets. The food will be distributed via a pre-packaged food bag to the homeless, underprivileged, disadvantaged, poor and needy. Bright Sparqe will commence initially in Melbourne, Victoria, and
eventually expand throughout Australia. Bright Sparqe requires your support to purchase the paper bags, a vehicle, food products, and commence a support clinic. Bright Sparqe’s food vehicle picks-up the produce from the bakeries, cafes’ and supermarkets. The Bright Sparqe team at its home base will pack the produce into bags ready to be handed out. The bags will include information about other affiliated support services that may assist men, women and children who are homeless to get off the street where they are most vulnerable. One hundred percent of all revenue Bright Sparqe receives will go towards pursing their charitable objectives. Bright Sparqe has completed a three month pilot, having successfully distributed produce to the needy in Melbourne. Currently, there isn’t an outreach program similar to Bright Sparqe providing the homeless with a daily food bag to keep with them throughout the day/night. Bright Sparqe will work with other out-reach programs that serve food at centralised locations. Bright Sparqe will provide them both food and food bags to distribute to the needy. Bright Sparqe is working closely with other affiliated support services organisations to connect the homeless, underprivileged, disadvantaged, poor, and needy. The affiliated support services may assist them getting them off the street where they are most vulnerable meeting one of Bright Sparqe’s objectives. With your assistance and donations Bright Sparqe’s outreach program will be able to collect and purchase more food. This will enable an increase in the distribution of food bags to more needy people. Your donations will enable Bright Sparqe to purchase a vehicle, and commence a homeless support clinic where we can provide assistance, counselling, training and support. We will also commence planning to deploy the initiative to other cities in Australia.
