Please:
bring gloves and tools, if you have them (some provided)
wear weather protection.

Sign in at the BBQ shelter (or the planting trailer if you’re late). Please RSVP if you’re coming via email or Facebook to help us plan. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and we’ll see you next time.

Access from Jamieson Ave, Footscray or Ride/walk from the Maribyrnong River Trail, near city train line (follow the signs).’

After long term w**d management at this site - previously overgrown with African Boxthorn - and some initial mulching, this site was ready for a glow up. We scraped back the mulch, drilled holes and added water retaining crystals - which we nicknamed Goop. On sloped terrain like this escarpment, water retaining crystals can help young plants get established.

Litoria ewingii, Southern Brown Tree Frog
From the Australian Museum Frog ID site:
‘A taxonomic revision of the Australian treefrogs published in June 2025 has suggested that this species be placed in the genus Rawlinsonia, resulting in the proposed species name of Rawlinsonia ewingii.’
