After long term w**d management at this site - previously overgrown with African Boxthorn - and some initial mulching, this site was ready for a glow up. We scraped back the mulch, drilled holes and added water retaining crystals - which we nicknamed Goop. On sloped terrain like this escarpment, water retaining crystals can help young plants get established.

When is a fungi not a fungi?
Can you guess what it actually is?
Hint: just like the ‘reusable’ bag in the second image it has no business being where they were found, near a wetland.
