A fabulous afternoon at Italico for the launch of Stride or Ride 2026.
It was an honour to be joined by our guest speaker Olympic & Commonwealth Games winning cyclist Katie Mactier who announced she’s coming out of retirement to take part in this year’s event with event founder Max Beck. The room was buzzing with excitement, filled with community support ready to dust off their runners and pump up the bike tyres to join Stride or Ride, raising valuable funds for The Portsea Camp. It was wonderful to have so many of our key supporters with us for the launch including Colleen Callander, Award winning CEO and Author of The Power of Confidence. Colleen joins us again this year, championing our 12km walkers, alongside Taryn Brown of Walk MP leading the 20km.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community while meeting amazing people? STRIDE or RIDE is the perfect opportunity!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of every community event, and we’re looking for enthusiastic people to join us on 14–15 November. Whether you’re signing in or cheering on participants, helping with key event tasks, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your time will make a real difference.

Together, our incredible volunteer team will support and inspire participants to reach the finish line, knowing that every stride and every ride is helping a child in need build confidence, resilience, and hope for the future. ❤️

To kick off the 2026 Stride or Ride event we are hosting a launch party and inviting the community. Join us and come along for a get together on Friday 14th August 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. ITALICO is opening their venue for our Friday gathering.
It’s $25 for the arrival drink and canapés, guest speaker Olympic and Commonwealth Games winning cyclist Katie Mactier and a great social afternoon to kick off this year’s Stride or Ride event for The Portsea Camp which is being held on Sunday 15th November.
