Morea Morea Named in the Starting Lineup.
Morea Morea has officially been named in the starting lineup, and what a moment it is for this talented athlete. Morea took the Hostplus Cup by storm during his time with the PNG Hunters over the past couple of years, quickly becoming one of the most exciting young players in the competition. At the start of this year, he was offered a train-and-trial contract with the Queensland Cowboys, a testament to his potential. Unfortunately, he didnβt make the final squad.
Upon returning home, he was immediately picked as the Huntersβ first-choice fullback. However, he wasnβt at his best in his first couple of games. Coach Paul Aiton made the tough call to rest him, handing the opportunity to Sunny Wabo. Wabo didnβt just fill the role, he owned it. Week after week, he delivered outstanding performances and cemented his spot, until injury struck last week. That opened the door for Snax Tigers fullback Douglas David to step in.
When I saw Coach Aiton make the swap, sending Morea Morea to the Capras and bringing Khaye Wembi to the Hunters, I was genuinely happy. Wembi is a quality young forward who struggled to get much game time at Capras, likely due to the depth in their forward pack. The Hunters need his size and aggression. Meanwhile, the Capras are struggling in their backline, and they need someone who can spark their attack. I truly believe Morea is that man. The Capras will rely on his speed, footwork, and attacking flair to lift their performance.
Now, itβs now or never for Morea. Thereβs no turning back. After a long break, youβre back in the Hostplus Cup. Congratulations on making the starting lineup at fullback. Your dream of playing in the NRL is one step closer.
The ball is in your court, go out there and prove the critics wrong. Good luck, champ! ππ΅π¬β€οΈ
