⛺🧙‍♀️ CUBOREE PACK-DOWN: MUD, MAGIC & MOUNTAINS OF LAUNDRY! 🧙‍♂️😂

A HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who helped pack down our Cuboree camp site! 💕🥰

🌧️ Saturday: It rained ALL DAY. Thankfully, the tents got a good wash as we packed them away! The trailers were considerably heavier on the way home, thanks to a generous load of Gilwell dirt and approximately 47 swimming pools worth of water. 💦🚛

☀️ Sunday: Sunshine at last! Time to reassemble the entire camp at the Centre, clean everything, dry everything, and pack everything away. Easy, right? 😂

A special shout-out to Melton City Council, whose gift of a washing line (aka a FENCE) a few years ago proved invaluable. It held an impressive amount of camping gear and provided FREE entertainment for everyone passing by! 😂👀

🧚‍♀️ More magic: Huge thanks to the magical fairies who appeared to pack away the stretchers and sleeping bags, and to our Phoenix Rovers for 'enthusiastically' scrubbing the muddy tent pegs. 🪄

And let's not forget the tent towel washing team! Those towels were 'cream-coloured' when they started… allegedly. 😂

To every volunteer who helped plan, set up, pack down, wash, scrub, dry, fold, lift, carry and probably question their life choices at least once — THANK YOU! ❤️🙌

But wait… there's more! The team is ALREADY starting to plan JAMBOREE.🤣🏕️

🐾✨ CUBOREE 2026 — WHAT AN ADVENTURE! ✨🐾

Last week, 30 Cubs, 6 Leaders, and a few very brave adult supporters from Caroline Springs, Melton South Scout Group, and Bacchus Marsh Scouts joined Cubs and Leaders from across Victoria for 4 nights and 5 days of BIG Cuboree fun! 🏕️

☀️ Beautiful sunshine
🌧️ Then came the rain…
🧗 Rock climbing
🪣 Mud… mud… and MORE mud! 😂
💦 And, as promised… the Leaders got DUNKED! 🤣

Our Cubs also got stuck into STEM activities, bug catching, wildlife shows, and so much more. 🐛🔬🦎

But the biggest achievement wasn’t the activities — it was watching our Cubs they tackled challenges, tried new things, got very muddy, made memories and had an absolute ball!

🌟 Every single Cub should be incredibly proud of what they achieved at Cuboree! 🌟

Now… who’s ready to wash all that mud off the tents?! 😂⛺🧼

✨🪄 A little Cuboree magic is happening! 🪄✨

While our Cubs are busy having an amazing adventure, a HUGE THANK YOU to all the volunteers who have helped with the planning, preparation, set-up and running of Cuboree! 💚

And a very special thank you to our High Witch Bev 🧙‍♀️✨ — the magic behind so much of what makes Cuboree happen!

It takes a whole team of magical volunteers to make the adventure come to life. 🪄💫

Thank you for making the magic happen! 💚👏

🔥🏕️ SURVIVAL CAMP: LOST! 🏕️🔥

What would you do if you were **LOST in the wilderness** with limited food, no shelter and no sleeping bag? 😱

Our amazing bunch of Scouts and Venturers found out exactly what it takes to survive during an epic Survival Camp at Rowallan Scout Camp! 🌲🔥

From mastering survival skills and shelter challenges to managing food rations and keeping a fire going ALL NIGHT, our participants were pushed out of their comfort zones and put their teamwork, resilience and problem-solving skills to the ultimate test. 💪🧭

And what an incredible job they did! We are SO proud of every single participant for giving it their all, supporting each other and showing true Scout spirit. 👏⭐

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Leaders who gave up their time, shared their skills and experience, and helped make this unforgettable adventure possible. ❤️

🌲🔥 Challenge accepted. Skills tested. Survival achieved! 🔥🌲

🥕🥔 Stone Soup! 🍲🍅

The Banksia Joeys put their teamwork skills to the test as they worked together to make their very own vegetable soup — or as we like to call it, “Stone Soup”! 🥣

While the soup was cooking, the Joeys listened to the story of Stone Soup, where a soldier and a farmer worked together to create a delicious meal. Just like the story, our Joeys discovered that when everyone works together, something amazing can be created! 💪😊

There was plenty of hard work involved, especially all that vegetable chopping! 🔪🥕🥔 But it was definitely worth the effort when they finally got to enjoy the delicious result. 😋
