Payday Super lands on 1 July, and we're hosting a session that walks employers through it is this Wednesday.

From 1 July 2026, every Australian employer has to pay superannuation on payday, in step with wages, rather than quarterly. It is the biggest change to the super system in a generation, and it touches payroll systems, cash flow, ATO compliance and the way SG contributions are reconciled.

Hans van Daatselaar runs the session. He has more than thirty years in superannuation and sits on the ATO Payday Super Working Group, so this comes straight from someone working on the reform itself.

He covers what changes, what to have in place by 1 July, where the common compliance traps sit and the practical steps to take in the next few weeks.

What a turnout for the NCCA Padel Tournament. New faces, returning players, and a good chunk of the people who only joined the chamber in the last few months, all out on the courts for an afternoon of rallies and laughs.

Huge congratulations to Joost Miltenburg and Daphne Dolleman on the win. Well played both. Massive thanks to our sponsors Game4Padel and Modieus.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it the kind of afternoon the NCCA does best. Networking and just a bit of fun.

Next up we are at Mokum, a Dutch café and bar in Brunswick, for Networking Drinks on Wed 10 June. Early bird pricing runs until this Sunday, so be quick.

Behind the scenes at the MCG.

Last Saturday NCCA members and guests walked the changing rooms, training facilities and turf at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), guided enthusiastically by Don.

What stood out: the on-site wastewater treatment plant, the full LED transition across the complex, and 35 separated waste streams. The Melbourne Cricket Club is now Australia's first sporting club with Climate Active Carbon Neutral certification.

A world-class venue running itself responsibly. Thanks to the MCC and to Don for the access, and to Elke Kroft for organising the event.

Three fantastic Dutch businesses with completely different routes into Australia.

Last Monday at KPMG Australia, our King's Day Business Breakfast put Emmy Heikamp (Dutch Cargo), Tim Ferraro (Land Life) and Paul Kanters (Vopak) on the same panel and let the contrasts do the work.

The sharpest line of the morning: in Texas, decisions get made fast. In the Netherlands, they get planned. In Australia, they get deferred, because the worst outcome is causing offence.

Thanks to KPMG for hosting and Dai Andrew Forterre Ph.D. for moderating.

Our King's Day Business Breakfast at KPMG put three very different Dutch-Australian business journeys side by side. The contrast was the point.
