“ألم تشبع أرض سورية من دم أبنائها؟”
سؤال نطرحه اليوم بوجع وألم، ونحن نتابع ما يجري في محافظة السويداء من أحداث دامية يذهب ضحيتها أبرياء لا ذنب لهم سوى أنهم يحلمون بالعيش بسلام على أرضهم.

إننا في جمعية أوغاريت نعلن تضامننا الكامل مع أهلنا في السويداء، وندين كل أشكال العنف والاقتتال بين أبناء الوطن الواحد. لا يجوز أن يُهدر دم السوري على يد سوري.

نترحم على أرواح الضحايا، ونتمنى الشفاء للجرحى، ونؤكد أن السلام هو الطريق الوحيد لحماية ما تبقى من وطننا الجريح.

رحم الله الأبرياء، وحمى الله سورية وأهلها.

“Has the land of Syria not had enough of the blood of its children?”
We ask this question with deep sorrow as we witness the heartbreaking events unfolding in Sweida — where innocent lives are once again being lost in senseless violence.

At Ugarit Association, we stand in full solidarity with our people in Sweida. We condemn all forms of internal conflict and violence that pit Syrians against one another. No cause justifies the shedding of Syrian blood by Syrian hands.

We mourn the innocent lives lost and pray for a swift recovery for the wounded. We firmly believe that peace and unity are the only path to saving what remains of our beloved Syria.

May the innocent rest in peace. May God protect Syria.

تدين و تستنكر منظمة أوغاريت بأشد العبارات التفجير الإرهابي الجبان الذي استهدف كنيسة مار إلياس في حي الدويلعة بدمشق، والذي أودى بحياة أبرياء كانوا يلتمسون السكينة والرجاء في بيت من بيوت الله.

إن الكنائس، كما سائر دور العبادة، هي أماكن يُذكر فيها اسم الله وتُرفَع فيها القلوب بالدعاء من أجل المحبة والسلام. واستهدافها هو انتهاك صارخ للقيم الدينية والإنسانية، وتجسيدٌ لنهج المتطرفين الذين لا يؤمنون إلا بالعنف والكراهية.

قلوبنا مع أسر الضحايا وكل المتضررين من هذا الاعتداء الأليم. ونسأل الله الرحمة لأرواح الأبرياء الذين سقطوا بلا ذنب، ونستذكر قول السيد المسيح عليه السلام:
“أحبوا أعداءكم، باركوا لاعنيكم، أحسنوا إلى مبغضيكم، وصلّوا لأجل الذين يسيئون إليكم ويطردونكم” (متى 5:44)

إننا في أوغاريت نؤكد أن التطرف لا دين له، وأن وحدة أبناء سوريا بمختلف طوائفهم ومعتقداتهم هي السد المنيع في وجه كل محاولات بث الفتنة والدمار.

Ugarit Organisation strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church in the Al-Dweilaa district of Damascus, claiming the lives of innocent people who were seeking peace and refuge in a house of worship.

Churches, like all places of worship, are sacred spaces where the name of God is spoken, and prayers are lifted for love and peace. To target such a space is a blatant violation of all religious and human values and a clear reflection of the hatred embraced by extremists who know nothing but violence.

Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and all those affected by this senseless act. We pray for mercy upon the souls of the innocent, and we recall the words of Jesus Christ:
“Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44)

At Ugarit, we reaffirm that extremism has no religion, and that the unity of the Syrian people of all faiths and backgrounds remains the strongest defence against hatred, division, and destruction.

Mercy for the martyrs,
Healing for the wounded,
And peace for Syria.

أربعة عشر عاماً من الحرب والدمار والتهجير والاغتراب… وما زلنا نحن السوريين نتمسّك بالأمل، نحلم بغدٍ أفضل، ولم نفقد الإيمان بأنّ يوم الفرج آتٍ لسوريا وشعبها.

كفانا قهراً، كفانا قتلاً، كفانا فقراً وتشرداً… لقد شبعت أرض سوريا من دماء أبنائها.

نعم، رُفعت العقوبات، فلنرفع معها الأحقاد من القلوب، لنتصالح، ونتجاوز الطائفية، ونعمل معاً لبناء وطن يتّسع للجميع.

رُفعت العقوبات فلنرفع الكراهية، ونتقبّل بعضنا بعضاً، ونتعايش ونتكاتف لبناء سوريا جديدة، يسودها السلام والوحدة والكرامة.

Fourteen years of war, destruction, displacement and exile… yet we Syrians continue to hold on to hope. We still dream, and we haven’t lost faith that the day of relief will come for Syria and its people.

Enough with the suffering, enough with the killing, the poverty, and the homelessness… Syria’s soil has had its fill of the blood of its own children.

Yes, the sanctions have been lifted so let us also lift the hatred from our hearts. Let us reconcile, move past sectarianism, and work together to rebuild our homeland.

The sanctions have been lifted now let us lift the bitterness within us, accept one another, coexist, and join hands to build a new Syria founded on peace, unity and dignity.
