Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and Arya Samaj of Melbourne Arya Prathinidhi Sabha and Arya Samaj Of Melbourne (APSASM) is a small group of people who are committed voluntarily in promoting the teachings of Vedas.

Our objective is to promote physical, spiritual and social good of every one. The purpose of the Samaj is:

- To propagate the ten principles of the Arya Samaj as propounded by Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

- To impart and promote the study of Vedas, Vedangas, ancient Sanskrit or other literature science and industry.

- To obtain the services of the Vedic preachers.

- To assist orphans an

d the poor.

- To promote physical, moral and social good of every one.

- To organise preaching of Vedas.

- To promote and direct meeting of members for their development as per Vedic teachings.

- To safeguard the present and future interests of the Arya Samaj with respect to humanity.

- To do all things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the objects of the Samaj.

APSASM April 26 – Sthapna Diwas Celebration (11/04/26)
APSASM members, family and friends proudly celebrated 151st Arya Samaj Sthapna Diwas.
The Program included:
• Multi-Kund Agnihotram
• Welcome by President Shareen Sharma Ji
• 10 Principles of Arya Samaj by Kids (led by Anvi & Bharat)
• Kids Presentation on Five Teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati ji where the topics were split between kids as follows:
o Anvi – Narrator
o Ayurdha – spoke of the 1st teaching – Belief in One God.
o Riya – spoke on 2nd teaching – Vedas is the Ultimate Source of Knowledge.
o Jayviel – spoke on 3rd teaching – Service to Humanity.
o Bharat – spoke on 4th teaching – Importance of Self-realization.
o Prachet – spoke on 5th teaching – Universal Brotherhood and Education for all.
• Adult presentations, which included the below speakers and their respective topics:
o Kushiel ji – Why society needed a change in the 19th century
o Om Pal ji – Early supporters and leaders of Arya Samaj
o Medha ji – Arya Samaj in Modern Life
o Shareen ji – Rishi ji’s work towards Women Empowerment
o Rishabh ji – Life of Yogiraj Laxmananand ji
o Pt Prashant – Sangathan Sukta mantra and application in the samaj.
• Shanka Samadhan session – all questions were eloquently answered by Pt Prashant ji, assisted by Pt. Om Pal ji and Rishabh ji.
• Shanti Paath and Bhojan mantra and its meanings by all kids.
• Vote of thanks by Neetu Saini ji.
• Delicious dinner prepared by APSASM ladies was by enjoyed by all.
Many thanks to Om Pal ji, Anjali ji & family for providing us the venue for this event. Thank you to everyone who attended this event and helped make it a success. I hope everyone who attended the event learnt lots from all the presentations.

APSASM proudly hosted its March satsang & workshop on Agnihotram; the program included:
• Welcome by President Shareen Sharma ji
• 10 Principles of Arya Samaj recited by all APSASM kids – led by Anvi beti and Bharat beta.
• Kids presentations, which included presentations by the following kids:
- Anvi Ghangas presented on Swami Shraddhanand ji where our bitiya took us through the life of Swami ji, his role in Arya Samaj and the good that he did.
- Bharat Sindhyan presentation was on 10 Lakshan (attributes) of Dharm where our beta touched on all 10 with examples.
- Ayurdha elaborated on the Arya Samaj principles 2, 3 & 4. Our bitiya used real life
examples to support her presentation.
- A story with Vedic moral was presented by Prachet Rajak.
• Presentation by Rishabh ji on Acharya Dr. Vishuddha Nand Mishra.
• Workshop on Agnihotram by Pt. Prashant Sharma ji where Pt ji explained:
- Scientific & Practical aspects of hawan covering Parmanus, Prakriti and Srishti.
- Elaboration on the Vedic mantras to use in Yaj – why we should recite on particular Vedic mantras and not all Vedic mantras?
- Pt ji highlighted the importance of sticking to the Agnihotram procedure as per Aaptas (Yogis).
- The hawan kund measurements, the size of the samidhas etc.
- Shanka/Samadhaan session followed the workshop where lots of questions were asked by the audience, which were eloquently answered by Pt ji.
• Shanti Path and bhojan mantra was recited by all kids.
• Vote of thanks by Sury Soni ji.
• Delicious dinner prepared by the APSASM ladies was enjoyed by all attendees.

• A role play on Rishi Bodh Diwas by our kids – Bharat beta as Mool Shankar ji, Anvi bitiya as the narrator and Jayviel and Prachet as friend and priest respectively.
• Acknowledgment of Rishi Jayanti by Pt. Prashant ji.
• Discussion on Arya Samaj leaders followed by Shanka/Samadhaan by Pt. Prashant ji.
• Ved Prachaar committee got together and came up with a satsang structure to be followed for each satsang.
• Shanti Path and bhojan mantra recited by all kids.
• Prashaad and delicious lunch prepared by all samaj ladies was enjoyed by all attendees.

The program included:
• Welcome by President Shareen Sharma ji
• Nitya Agnihotra – Led by Pt. Om Pal ji with Bharat beta as the Yajmaan
• Yaj Geet by all participants
• 10 Principles of Arya Samaj recited by Bharat and Prachet
• Workshop on Naitik Mulya (Moral Values) conducted by our youth Rishabh Sharma ji. Rishabh ji used the Vedas and Aarsh Granths as references for this workshop and made it a very interactive session by involving both kids and adults. There were lots of questions that came from the audience which, Rishabh ji answered eloquently with the help from Pt. Prashant Sharma ji.
• Small talk on Mul Shankar ji’s experience on the Shiv Ratri Day and his disbelief in idol worship by Ayurdha beti. Ayurdha bitiya also highlighted the three teachings of Arya Samaj, which included:
1) God is everywhere
2) Arya Samaj gives rights to Girl’s education
3) Instead of worshipping idols, Arya Samajis pray by performing Hawan (yaj)
• Small talk on Dandi Virjanand ji by Bharat beta. Bharat beta read about Virjanand ji and summarized his talk, which he shared in the satsang
• Shanti Path and bhojan mantra recited by all kids followed by meanings of both mantras recited by Bharat beta.
• Prashaad and delicious dinner prepared by all samaj ladies was enjoyed by all attendees.

APSASM Deepawali and Rishi Moksh Diwas Celebration (15/11/25)
APSASM members/friends/families gathered together to celebrate Deepawali and Rishi Moksh Diwas.
The program included:
• Multi Kund Nitya Agnihotra – led by Pt. Prashant ji, assisted by Prem Aunty ji and Pt Om Pal (Bharat beta & Rishabh ji presided at the purohit’s positions).
• Welcome by APSASM President Shareen Sharma ji.
• 10 Principles of Arya Samaj recited by Bharat beta and Anvi bitiya.
• Presentation on Deepawali by Pt. Prashan ji – Pt. ji eloquently explained the reason for celebrating Deepawali.
• Kids delivered presentation on their hand made diyas under the direction of Pt. Om Pal ji and Ashni ji – focus was on the significance of Diyas.
• Small kids participated in quiz related to Vedic and Arya Samaj questions (Riya, Aditya, Prachet, Jayviel & Ayurdha).
• Older kids (Anvi, Bharat & Aditi) participated in three-way Questions and answers to each other based on Arya Samaj, Vedic knowledge and Rishis.
• Presentation on Rishi Jeevni by Manish ji, Kushiel ji, Shareen ji, Pt. Om Pal ji, Sury ji, Rishabh ji, Prashant Rajak ji, Sanjeev ji, with Pt. Prashant ji as the narrator. The presenters took turns and presented on Rishi ji’s life from his birth to death, with inclusion of Rishi ji’s Satyarth Prakash.
• Vedic Bhajan was sung by Medha Rajak ji.
• All presenters (both kids and adults) were awarded with certificates and prizes. (kids sponsors were Kushiel ji, Ashni ji & Manish ji/ adult sponsors were Pt. Prashant ji & Prashant Rajak ji).
• Vote of thanks by APSASM Treasure Neetu Saini ji.
• Shanti Paath with meaning and bhojan prathana was recited by all kids.
Scrumptious Prashaad and dinner prepared by APSASM ladies was enjoyed by all attendees. Many thanks to our hosts Pt. Prashant ji, Shareen ji and Priyanka for hosting this event. Thanks also to everyone for attending and a massive thankyou to all kids/adults for their presentations. This was an exemplary, entertaining and motivational event. APSASM kids for sure are taking all the courage and determination towards the future of Arya Samaj Leaders. Well Done!!

APSASM members got together for yaj and their Annual General meeting on 3rd August.
The program included:
• Welcome by President Shareen Sharma ji.
• Nitya Agnihotram – Bharat beta presided over purohit’s position as part of his development, assisted by Pt. Prashant ji with the mantra recitation.
• Shanti path and bhojan prathana by everyone.
• Prashaad distribution.
• All member participated in the AGM and elected the new officials for the new financial year. Congratulations to the new office bearers, which included:
o Founding President (remains unchanged) - Pt. Prashant Sharma ji
o Working President – Shareen Sharma ji
o Vice President – Surya Soni ji
o Secretary – Kushiel Prasad ji
o Treasurer – Neetu Saini ji

• Pravachan/elaboration on Vishwani Dev mantra by Pt. Prashant ji. Pt ji explained the meaning with the use of references from Prashna Upanishad, Brihadaranayak Upanishad, Kath Upanishad, Vaisheshik Darshan, Rig Ved and Atharv Ved. The mantra was first simplified for kids and then was explained with the use of all the above granths for adults.
• Nitya Agnihotra -led by Sanjeev Saini ji (blessings given to the host Kushiel ji for his birthday).
• Yaj Geet by all participants.
• 10 Principles of Arya Samaj recited by Bharat beta.
• Vishwani Dev mantra and Gayatri Mantra recited by Jayviel beta. Jayviel also explained the meanings of both mantras.
• Gayatri Mantra recited by Riya bitiya.
• Gayatri mantra, it’s meaning, and Shanti Path and its meaning recited by Prachet beta.
• Bhajan by Bhawna Gupta ji.
• Poem with Vedic content by Vashisht uncle ji
• Prashaad and delicious lunch prepared mainly by the hosts with minimal help by samaj members was enjoyed by all attendees.
