🎉 We’re finalists in the 2026 Victorian Protecting Children Awards!

YDAS has been named a finalist in the Child and Youth Empowerment Award for our Right to Be Heard project.

Every disabled young person should know their rights, understand their options and have the opportunity to influence decisions that affect their lives.

Right to Be Heard is an NDIS information and education hub created by and for disabled young people. Disabled young people shaped the project from the very beginning, sharing their knowledge, ideas and experiences to make sure the information is relevant, accessible and genuinely useful.

We’re incredibly proud to see this work recognised and grateful to all the disabled young people, team members and collaborators who helped bring Right to Be Heard to life 💜

We had a fantastic day at the Northern Youth Expo today! 🎉

Our team loved connecting with young people, sharing information about YDAS, and chatting about disability rights, leadership, advocacy and opportunities for disabled young people.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall to say hello. We can't wait to continue the conversation! 💙

There are paid and unpaid ways to get involved, including an online workshop, interviews, and a survey.
