DECC is a peak body which seeks to represent the views and interests of Darebin's culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

DECC currently represents over 80 ethnic groups and associations within the City of Darebin. DECC developed as a response to the evolving multicultural nature of the local community. Views of ethnic groups needed to be represented by a peak organisation.

Regular meetings of members are held to discuss topical multicultural issues within the community.

Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6.00 - 8.00pm.
