Meet the newest GEN VIC team member, Sofia! 👋

Sofia joined us as an intern in June and we're thrilled that she has now joined the team in an ongoing, part-time capacity as Communications Officer.

A final year media and communications student, Sofia also brings experience as a contributing writer for Esperanto Magazine and host of On The Ground at Radio Monash. And some of you may also recognise her from the cover of the GEN VIC Strategic Plan!

We're so glad to have Sofia onboard and support the pipeline of emerging professional talent! Please join us in officially welcoming her to the GEN VIC team 🧡

Congratulations to all Australian athletes on an incredible Commonwealth Games campaign, with Australian women delivering many of the standout performances that helped drive the nation's medal success 🥇

These achievements remind us that success on the world stage starts well before elite competition. It begins in local community clubs, with inclusive environments, strong leadership, quality coaching and clear pathways that support women and girls to participate, stay involved and thrive in sport.

At GEN VIC, we're proud to be working with leaders across Victorian sport and government representatives to advance gender equity and help build a pathway from grassroots participation to the world stage.
