Shame on you!! You are complicit in the genocide and ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Gaza!!

In the last 12 months alone, Israhell has murdered 171 Palestinian journalists in cold blood. Many of these journalists were young kids who took up the role of recording and documenting the genocide against their people after Israhell has prevented international journalists from entering the strip. These young kids with their smartphones are out there, risking their lives so that the outside world can see the truth and hold Israhell to account. Instead, Israhell specifically targeted these young journalists, ending their lives in an attempt to silence the truth.

The number of journalists murdered in Gaza by the Israhell illegal occupation is equal to the number of journalists killed in WW2 and the Vietnam War COMBINED!!! Let that sink in!!

Over the past year, Labor politicians, including Joanne Ryan, Sarah Connolly and Mathew Hilakari, have consistently disregarded the concerns of the Wyndham community. Despite our repeated calls for our elected officials to condemn the ongoing genocide in Gaza and Lebanon and to uphold international law in line with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling, we have received no response.

Gaza has witnessed the highest number of child deaths in any conflict zone worldwide, with figures matching the total number of child deaths across all global wars over the past five years. We have also seen the largest cohort of amputee children in Gaza, with tens of thousands of children permanently disabled. The starvation levels in Gaza is unprecedented in modern history, with millions suffering from starvation and famine.

Despite claiming to be a democratic government that listens to its constituents, our calls and numerous emails over the past year have been met with silence 🤐

This week, during Children’s Week, our community confronted these shameless representatives, questioning why the children of Gaza are not afforded the same rights and protection as other children. We challenged the hypocrisy and double standards of this morally bankrupt Labor government, which has remained silent in the face of one of the worst genocides in modern history.

SHAME ON YOU ‼️

Wyndham Palestine Action Group will be joining the Geelong community to rally against the ADF recruitment booth, which is having an open day on 26th Oct complete with Navy Band & RAAF flyover (at 1pm). A perfect day for us to rally against the war machine!

Geelong has become a prime target in the event of war - the local council and Victorian and federal governments are deceptively turning Geelong into a weapons manufacturing hub.

Governments are failing the region, investing billions in the Geelong war industry without community consent while the northern suburbs of Geelong are some of the poorest in the state.

Geelong’s local MP is Defence Minister Richard Marles – a warmonger who is championing AUKUS and spruiking Geelong as the perfect place for the war machine to do business.

Marand, Quick Step, Chemring and other Geelong-based arms manufacturers are booming because they make parts for the F-35 Strike Fighters used by Israel to bomb Gaza.

Just recently, Hanwha Defence Australia, a South Korean weapons company, have opened a multi-billion $$$, government funded facility in Avalon, set to become the epicentre of the weapons manufacturing supply chain in the state of Victoria.

Our demands remain the same:
1. No to death factories and death jobs in Avalon.
2. Yes to investing in local community needs: jobs to build affordable housing, jobs to improve community healthcare, and jobs to provide quality public education.
3. Break Victoria’s MoU with the Israeli Government.
4. Place industrial bans on building military facilities at Avalon.
5. End the militarisation of Australia.

We are 9 months into a GENOCIDE that has claimed the lives of 45,000 innocent people and has destroyed millions of lives in the Gaza Strip. Students dreams have been shattered and children are forever traumatised by the horror they have been forced to endure.

Meanwhile, our elected officials like MP Joanne Ryan have continually ignored calls made by the Australian public and local residents to call for an immediate and sustained ceasefire, to recognise Palestine 🇵🇸 as an independent sovereign state and to condemn the genocidal actions and crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime as per international law and the ruling of the ICJ and ICC.

Now is not the time to remain silent!! We need to make loud and clear our demands from our representatives to yield to the demands of the their constituents. We need to come out in our hundreds and continuing calling for Palestinian liberation and recognition which is long overdue!

RALLY FOR RAFAH!!!
Our government and representatives like continue to remain silent while Israhell is bombing Rafah, an area equivalent to 1/3 the area of Wyndham City Council where 1.5 million Palestinians are seeking refuge.

Israhell is actively ignoring the ICJ and ICC rulings and is killing innocent men, women and children. Meanwhile, our government and leaders are supplying the IOF with the weapons being used to kill civilians in Gaza.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
