A Wonderful Sukkot BBQ at NEJC!
Last week we had a fantastic turnout for our Sukkot Community BBQ at NEJC, with families, friends and visitors joining us for a lovely evening.
The children enjoyed a range of fun activities and entertainment, while the adults enjoyed dinner in the sukkah, catching up with friends and having the opportunity to shake the lulav and etrog.
It was a pleasure to welcome Manningham Mayor Cr Jim Grivas, Deputy Mayor Cr Deirdre Diamante, other Manningham councillors and members of the Manningham Interfaith Network. We really appreciated them taking the time to join us and share in our Sukkot celebrations.
A big thank you to all of our volunteers, including Michael Black, Angela, Geta and Rebbetzin Bassie for all the work they put into organising the evening, and to Peter Savvas for taking care of the BBQ. Events like these take a lot of work, and we are fortunate to have people who are always willing to help.
One of the lovely things about Sukkot is the opportunity to welcome people into our sukkah and spend time together. It was especially nice to see so many people of different ages and backgrounds enjoying the evening at NEJC.
Thank you to everyone who came along. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing you at our next community event!
