Today I got these beautiful tiny 4 kittens to foster them, they are only two and a half weeks old. They were handed over to a vet clinic after a person didn’t want them at their home anymore. This leaves a mum cat not knowing where her babies have gone, she will get mastitis for not being able to feed them and she will get pregnant again as she was not getting desexed by the owner. The owner was told all this but he didn’t care.
At least we have them now and they are safe and well looked after.
Due to a family member passing, our rescue founder could not take them in to look after them and she will also be having a break that she deserves, so I will be taking care after them until they are ready to be adopted which will be quite a few months😻
Tomorrow I will be choosing their names and will let you know what they will be called ❤️☺️

This afternoon my beautiful shy girl Nathema got adopted to a beautiful couple who know it takes times for a shy kitten to come out of their comfort zone and get the confidence to grow up into a beautiful and confident cat. I am going to miss this little girl so much but she will be so loved😔😻😻😻

Charlie is still looking for his forever home ❤️

We know he is an absolutely beautiful boy, and it's not common to see a Tonkinese cat up for adoption!
He is such a sweet boy with a huge personality, and he'd happily spend all day sleeping in his foster carer's arms.
He's recently decided his best friends are the 8 and 10 month d female kittens that secretly rule the household. Watching him learn to play with them has been wonderful and hilarious.
At the end of the day he takes himself to bed and demands the carer follow him for bedtime snuggles. He likes being the little spoon all night long.
He'll also inhale freeze dried treats. He loves them!

But can you guess how many people have applied only because Charlie is a Tonkinese without reading his profile?

We always want to find the best suited homes for ALL our cats in care. And we always want to find the best personality match for your lifestyle and needs.
We do our best to outline the personality of a cat in their profile, what they like, what they don't like, and what they need in a home.

Charlie is a pretty easy cat! He has a good food he likes, two wants, and two things he can't stand.
If you're interested in adopting him, you can read all about them in his profiles.

(We know Charlie will still get applications just because he is beautiful and not because he is a good match for someone's life...)
To apply, check out either of his profiles for the application link.

For those who may not know, I lost my husband, Mark, just 10 days ago in a horrific car accident. It still feels so unreal, and there is so much to deal with while trying to come to terms with such an enormous loss.

Running a busy cat rescue can be stressful enough at the best of times, but trying to keep everything going while grieving the loss of a family member is something I never imagined I would have to face.

Last night, the Police came to interview me as they had forgotten our appointment at 10 am. They arrived unexpectedly at 8 pm and stayed for about an hour and a half, asking questions and wanting to learn a little more about who Mark was. It was emotionally exhausting, especially so soon after losing him.

Today, I had an appointment at the Bendigo Bank in Marriotts Water, and when I got home I spoke with one of Mark's aunties, whom I had never met before. Somehow, talking with her brought back so many happy memories of Mark.

I think that is something we really need to do now—fill our souls with the good memories. The laughter, the love, the stories, the little moments, and all the things that made Mark who he was.

I wanted to share these beautiful photos of Mark's two dogs. Suzie, his beautiful Staffy, sadly passed away nearly two years ago, and then there is our gorgeous Digger, who is still here with us and is absolutely fretting for his Daddy.

Animals feel loss too. Digger knows that Mark isn't coming home, and seeing him missing his Daddy breaks my heart.

For now, I am trying to take each day as it comes, hold onto the beautiful memories, and remind myself that although Mark is no longer here physically, the love and memories we shared will always remain.

No feet under blankets are safe around Zatanna.
(She was super gentle we promise)

This funny girl has transformed from spicy stray baby to sweet house cat.
Her favourite things include snuggling or playing with the other cats, sneaking up to request treats, and finding the best cat beds in the house.
She is shy with strangers, but confident around her foster carer.
If her carer has a tube treat, she will appear out of nowhere to ask for some.

She's amazing with other cats of all ages, and would strongly benefit from a confident cat friend to bond with. She'll be their best friend.

Two of her sisters have been adopted and are thriving more than they did in foster. So we know Zatanna will shine in her own home.
If you're willing to take a chance and be patient to see a wonderful young cat blossom, check out either of Zatanna's profiles to apply for this beautiful girl.

Meet Mama Bear who is 1 year and 8 months old.

Mama Bear holds a very special place in our heart. She is a sweet but shy young girl who has clearly experienced hardship and unkindness from people in her past. If she could tell her own story, she would speak of the sadness she has endured, but also of the love, care and attention she has received since coming into rescue.

Although she can be timid, Mama Bear has blossomed with patience, kindness and plenty of TLC. She loves retreating to her favourite hiding spot, but she is also happy to come out and quietly observe the world around her.

With a loving family, a positive environment and someone willing to give her the time she needs to trust, Mama Bear will become an incredibly special companion. Just look at her stunning fur coat and those gentle, heartwarming eyes—love is written all over her face.

Located in Cranbourne and her adoption fee is $280. Please note we are not running adoption days in Oct, but you can arrange a meet and greet. Or filling in an application form online: https://2ndchancecatrescue.com.au/adopting/adoption-form/

Any long-hair kitten fans out there? 😍 This majestic girl is Elisa and she is a stunning black and ginger beauty who is 1 year and 8 months old.

This lovely lady has had the joy of raising six adorable kittens herself, showcasing her nurturing spirit at such a young age. She would walk between your legs and allow you to stroke her fur which is just the softest thing.

All she needs is a little time and understanding to build trust, and in return, Elisa is sure to bring immense joy and warmth into the lives of those who welcome her. We don't get cats this unique looking often, so if you want to take her home, please fill in an application form online: https://2ndchancecatrescue.com.au/adopting/adoption-form/

This fluffy bear is Okaasan and she is 2 and half years old.

Her name means "mum" in Japanese as she has cared for her four adorable and fluffy kittens, who have since found loving new homes, Okaasan is now looking for her own special place where she can thrive in peace and comfort.

Adaptable and content in her surroundings, Okaasan has gracefully settled among other cats and finds solace in the quiet moments of the day. She enjoys lounging by her scratchy pole, observing the world with her captivating gaze, and her presence brings a calming energy to any room. With a preference for independence, Okaasan is the perfect companion for those who wish to enjoy the company of a cat without their space being invariably intruded upon.

Located in Cranbourne and her adoption fee is $280.

Meet Honey Pie, a handsome teenage boy who is just 9 months old.

Honey Pie gets along beautifully with other cats and, he is particularly fond of his friend Blue Bell. He would also be happy to join a family that already has a friendly feline companion.

We do not believe that Honey Pie would cope well as an only cat, as he thrives on the companionship of other cats and enjoys having a playmate by his side.

Honey Pie would benefit from being adopted by an experienced cat lover who understands that he may need a little time to settle into his new surroundings. With patience, love and respect, he will blossom into a wonderful and devoted companion.

Located in Cranbourne and his adoption fee is $280.

The gorgeous girl is Maple and make sure you go to our previous post to check out her purring video 🥰

Maple is 2 and half years old and needless to say she is strikingly beautiful. We love her little white socks and captivating eyes. The best part is she is also friendly. She is not shy about coming for pats and rubs! Please be mindful we believe Maple needs to be with another kitty friend - she a social cat and needs a feline company.
