We're proud to be a Supporting Partner of the 2027 Global Forum: Creating Health through Personalising Value, hosted by Sprink and The University of Melbourne.

Taking place in Melbourne on 18–19 May 2027, the Forum will bring together healthcare leaders, researchers, clinicians, industry and consumers from around the world to explore how healthcare can better understand and respond to what matters most to each individual.

LiverWELL Board President Siân Slade and Board Director Paul Gow will be presenting at the Forum, contributing to important conversations about person-centred healthcare, value and the outcomes that matter most to people.

For more than 30 years, LiverWELL has worked alongside people and communities affected by liver disease to improve health outcomes, reduce stigma and increase equitable access to information, care and support. We're looking forward to contributing our perspective and experience to this important event.

LiverWELL is seeking a proactive and collaborative Workforce Development Officer
(0.8 FTE, Ongoing) to help strengthen the capacity of health professionals and community service providers to respond to hepatitis B and C.

Reporting to the Health Promotion Manager, you’ll develop and deliver engaging education and resources, build partnerships across Victoria, and support better access to hepatitis prevention, testing, treatment and care.

Last week, LiverWELL, on behalf of the Victorian Hepatitis B Alliance, brought together community organisations, health services, advocates and sector leaders from across Victoria for B Part of the Solution, an event exploring how we can work together to improve hepatitis B outcomes and help prevent liver cancer.

Officially opened by Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Pauline Richards MP, the event highlighted the important role community organisations play in raising awareness of hepatitis B and connecting people to testing, care and support.

Through diverse presentations, participants explored the patient care journey, where people fall through the cracks, and how they can help prevent that. A particularly moving contribution came from our Lived Experience Advisory Committee member Christopher Kee, who shared his personal experience of living with hepatitis B, receiving a liver transplant, and his commitment to raising awareness of testing, treatment, and prevention. Participants also heard practical examples from across Victoria and Australia demonstrating what organisations are doing to shift the dial on hepatitis B.

A key message throughout the day was that you don't need to be a hepatitis B expert to make a difference. Whether you work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, or people who inject drugs, you have an opportunity to help us support people affected by hepatitis B.

This Women’s Health Week, LiverWELL will be featuring at the Women’s Health & Connection Expo on 9 September 2026 in Truganina, to talk about the important connection between women’s health and liver health.

Liver health is an important part of overall wellbeing, yet it can often be overlooked. Hormonal changes, pregnancy, menopause and other aspects of women’s health can intersect with liver health in different ways, making it important for women to understand how to look after their liver throughout different stages of life.

The Women’s Health & Connection Expo is a great opportunity for LiverWELL to connect with women in the community, share information about liver health and help make liver health part of the broader conversation around women’s wellbeing.
