We deliver accredited and pre-accredited courses. We are also a Neighbourhood House, which provides community programs. commenced operations in 1994 in Shop 24 at Meadow Heights Shopping Centre. Initially, the learning shop provided classes in, Computer Programs (Introduction to Word, Excell), Bookeeping (MYOB) and ESL classes. Since then, Meadow Heights Learning Shop has continued to grow to meet

the learning needs of the residents of Hume Municipality and surrounding areas. Today Meadow Heights Learning Shop Inc. is trading as Meadow Heights Education Centre (MHEC). We are a Learn Local Provider, a Registered Training Organisation, a Registered Charity and Neighbourhood House operating from the Visy Cares Learning Centre (3-13 Hudson Circuit), Shop 24, Buchan Street Community Centre and 4 venues in Craigieburn. MHEC also runs ESL and VET courses in several schools and community hubs around Melbourne. The prime operation of MHEC is at the Visy Cares Learning Centre. This modern building was donated by the Pratt Foundation in 2003. It is a modern building providing excellent Educational Setting, an Occasional Care Room, Maternal Health Facilities and a core of computers to support the technological needs of Meadow Heights Residents. Meadow Heights Education Centre is a provider of AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) through a contract with Melbourne Polytechnic. As a Registered Training Organisation (R.T.O 3940), MHEC provides educational programs in the areas of Spoken and Written English, Beauty Services, Education Support, Business Administration, Information Technology and Hospitality. MHEC provides free services to support the youth of the Hume Municipality through the Computer Clubhouse and the Homework Club for students from year 4 to VCE
As a Neighbourhood House, MHEC provides many programs to support the residents of Hume. Some of the community programs provided are:

Free Tax Help

Volunteering to Employment

MHEC is focused at all times on providing quality educational programs at affordable prices. We provide additional assistance to our students to ensure their success. Many of the programs offered by MHEC are focused on assisting students to find employment and prosperity. MHEC is a Learn Local Provider, an organisation which is committed to providing quality adult learning programs to members of the local community.
