On Saturday 18th of April, IWPG Melbourne commemorated 26th of April International Women’s Peace Day at the Multicultural Hub.
Multicultural women leaders came together to discuss how multicultural women’s education and leadership can translate into real impact in communities and systems. Looking at systemic gaps and why localising frameworks into communities matters, and how community-led insights can connect into real implementation pathways.
Through honest dialogue, two things became clear:
- The gap between grassroots leadership and institutional recognition must be intentionally bridged.
- Collective action is needed to move from isolated community impact to lasting systems-level change
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a thoughtful and inspiring space. This is just the beginning, we look forward to continuing the conversation and working together toward lasting impact.
This event was sponsored by, Woolworths, Lombards, Curds&Whey, Hellenic Deli, Phở Sắc restaurant and Shinjiko Ramen.
