We are an active Boys' Brigade community providing fun challenging recreational activities for Prep to Year 12 (5 to 18 years old)

The Boys' Brigade is a Uniform Organisation. Its activities promotes the habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline and Self-Respect. Its activities includes games, life skills and challenges that builds a boys self esteem, confidence and reliance. We are part of The Boys’ Brigade movement, that was the first uniformed youth organisation in the world, spread over 60 countries. Our founder, Sir Wil

liam Alexander Smith founded The Boys’ Brigade in 1883, who combined marching and fun activities to help boys develop and grow their character with a foundation on Christian values. You do not need to be a Christian or go to church to be part of our Boys' Brigade community.

Small skill. Big confidence. 👔

In our Junior Section Life Skills sessions, boys learn practical everyday skills — including how to tie their own tie.

It might seem simple, but learning to do this independently builds confidence, patience, and attention to detail. Our juniors practise step by step, learning that with effort and guidance, they can master new skills on their own.

These moments help boys feel proud of themselves and prepared — whether it’s for parade, school, or special occasions beyond Boys’ Brigade.

Life skills like this teach our juniors that growth comes through practice and perseverance.

Learning to navigate — not just the trail, but life. 🧭

In our Senior Section, boys develop essential outdoor skills through map reading, compass work, and orienteering.

By learning how to read maps, understand bearings, direction, and elevation, our seniors gain confidence in navigating unfamiliar terrain. These skills teach careful planning, decision-making, and responsibility — especially when travelling as a team on expeditions.

Understanding contours and elevation helps boys anticipate challenges, choose safer routes, and work together to reach their destination.

Map reading isn’t just about finding the right path — it’s about learning to think ahead, trust your skills, and support one another along the way.

Learning campcraft — safely and responsibly. 🔥

Our Junior Section boys are learning how to create a spark outdoors as part of their campcraft training — always under the close supervision of our leaders.

Through this activity, boys learn the basics of fire lighting, safety awareness, and responsibility. It’s not just about creating a spark, but understanding when, how, and why fire is used in outdoor settings.

Hands-on experiences like this help our juniors build confidence, patience, and respect for the outdoors, while learning important skills in a safe and controlled environment.
