What we do: The Friends have a number of interest groups, craft groups, photo group, gardenin

g and plant propagating groups, hold activities, events, plant sales and exhibitions. The Friends support projects in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne and Herbarium
How do we raise funds: The Friends hold many events and activities that raise funds and involve members including Botanic Art School and Plant Sales
What we support: The Friends have donated over $3 million towards projects in the gardens

Another educative and inspiring event for our Friends.. Join landscape architect Morgan as she shares how small spaces can grow abundantly. This is a talk about abundance at any scale -how to design beauty into function, grow food with resilience, and make every square metre count.

Melbourne, the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne Inc. Autumn plant sale is almost here! 🌱🌱

Visit Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne on May 2–3 to pick up a new plant to add to (or begin) your collection 🪴

Buy from a wide range of plants propagated from the Melbourne Gardens, including many unusual plants and plants sized for balconies, indoors or small and large gardens!

The Growing Friends propagate a great variety of plants from cuttings, divisions and seeds throughout the year, with plant sale proceeds being contributed to selected projects for the Melbourne Gardens. 💚
