Young People from rural and regional areas are invited to compete to represent The Lilydale A.& H. Society in the Rural Ambassador Competition.

2 categories are open to young adults
- Those aged between 16 & 19 (Junior Show Ambassador)
- Those 20 & 30 years old (Rural Ambassador)

Applicants must reside in Victoria.

Dog attacks are one of the leading causes of platypus deaths in Victoria. Even a dog’s presence can disturb wildlife from important behaviours like feeding, resting, and bathing.

Take the Lead and join the many Victorians protecting platypus:

🐶Choose walking routes that allow dogs when visiting waterways with your pooch.

Council's Advisory Committees are a great way to have your voice heard in decision-making spaces and we're looking for passionate young people to join!!

Expressions of interest are now open for four of our advisory committees, with new members needed for terms starting in February 2027.

We’re looking for people to join:

🔵 Health & Wellbeing Advisory Committee
🔵 Positive Ageing Advisory Committee
🔵 Sustainable Environment Advisory Committee

These committees provide valuable community insight and ongoing feedback to Council’s work.
