Super proud to see Hannah as one of the advocacy voices for Koala Kids Foundation on their November Newsletter. Hannah knew that age is not a factor when you decide to be a blessing in someone’s life.

When Hannah turned 9, she happily decided to donate most of her birthday gifts from her 9th birthday party to support Koala Kids Foundation purpose to bring happy moments to children and young people during cancer treatment, their families and their healthcare team. It was awesome to meet Mandy, The Director of to handover the gifts and also share few moments with her and learn some of the awesome things the team are doing

Today, can I inspire you to be like Hannah ? It’s often not the amount but the thought that counts. Your tax deductible donation can help brighten a kids life with a smile on their face with some happy moments during their difficult time of undergoing cancer treatment

Often time Koala Kids is confused with those organisations that protect or raise awareness for Koalas 🐨🐨

When Hannah and her mum Sindu Varathan were talking about what they might do for Hannah’s ninth birthday Hannah decided she wanted to do something to help prevent her favourite animal the Koala becoming extinct. Hannah researched organisations that support Koalas and came across Koala Kids. After reading about the small things we provide children during cancer treatment, Hannah asked her friends and family to buy gifts to donate to Koala Kids or to donate money to the Koala cause instead of buying Hannah presents.

Hannah’s friend and their families were so enamoured with her initiative that as well as donating beautiful toys to Koala Kids, some of them made a donation to the Koala cause AND gave Hannah a small gift, in recognition of her generous spirit.

This weekend I’m running and my 9 year old daughter Hannah is riding her roller skates, 5km each to raise funds for

Koala Kids is a volunteer driven organisation that provides happy moments for children and young people undergoing cancer treatment.

Over the next year, 100 new families will join Koala Kids Happy Base after receiving the devastating news their child has cancer. Despite most of Koala Kids resources being donated, it still costs around $180 to support each family annually.

Hannah had her 9th birthday party on 18-Sep-2022 and as per her request , her friends kindly donated a gift to Kids Foundation in lieu of a birthday gift for Hannah. Hannah also received additional gifts as her friends love her way too much they they didn’t want to not give her a gift for her birthday, which Hannah has decided to bless the Koala kids by gifting them those gifts as well !

Thank You Mandy for this amazing opportunity and the great work you and your fantastic team are doing at Kids Foundation , working with kids & families going through cancer. We can’t wait to meet you tomorrow and drop off the gifts for the children
