Beyond Bride Price is a South Sudanese-led community gathering designed to share research findings and create space for respectful conversation about bride price practice in the diaspora.
Presented by Dr Anyier Yuol through Lead Beyond Education, in partnership with Settlement Services International (SSI), this gathering draws on doctoral research exploring the cultural, social, economic, and gendered implications of bride price within South Sudanese communities in Australia. The community gathering translates research into accessible language and invites reflection, discussion, and learning across generations.
