Multicultural Voices Australia The NEMBC also regularly advocates on issues facing ethnic community broadcasters through submissions that influence government policy.

Formerly the National Ethnic & Multicultural Broadcasters' Council, peak organisation representing multicultural community broadcasters and digital content creators across Australia. Throughout the year, we lobby the government on behalf of our members to make sure that funding for ethnic broadcasting is maintained and, if possible, increased.

The Awards Gala will be held on the final night of the CBAA Conference – Saturday 24 October – at the Nyaal Banyul Convention Centre in Geelong, Victoria. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of everything our sector achieves.

MVA was pleased to attend The Lote Agency's Celebrating Multicultural Media & Community Connections event in Melbourne.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with multicultural media representatives, community leaders and organisations and to share ideas about the future of multicultural media and community engagement.

Our General Manager, Marianne Wangira, joined a panel discussion on the challenges, opportunities and future direction of the sector.

Thank you to The LOTE Agency for bringing together so many passionate voices from across our multicultural communities.
