25 Social Walks for Bec 👏👏👏

Bec has been with us from day one and was the very first person to volunteer with Social Walks.

Since then, she’s helped lead our Olivers Hill walk in Frankston, welcomed plenty of new faces and been a big part of what that community and culture has become.

This weekend she clocked up her 25th Social Walk.

What a weekend! 😄🙌 Thanks to everyone who joined us for a Social Walk this weekend 💛

Six walks across two states with plenty of new faces, regulars, and a whole lot of people getting out and about for a walk, a chat and coffee afterwards.

Today marks the start of Anti Loneliness Week, and looking back on the weekend just past, we can’t think of a better reminder of why Social Walks exists.

On Sunday, we hosted five free walks across two states, and nearly 150 people came together to walk, chat and connect. Some arrived with friends, many came on their own, but by the end of the morning, everyone was simply part of the same shared community.

Loneliness is one of the biggest challenges facing our communities, but connection can start with something as simple as a walk, and that’s why we’ll keep showing up every Sunday with free and welcoming walks that are open to everyone. 💛

💛 We Want You!

Social Walks wouldn’t exist without our incredible volunteers.

Whether you’re leading the walk, welcoming new faces, capturing photos or making sure no one gets left behind, every role helps create the friendly community people enjoy each week.

We’re looking for volunteers to support our existing walk locations, as well as passionate people who would love to help start Social Walks in new communities.

No experience is needed. We’ll show you everything you need to know. All you need is a positive attitude, a love of people and a pair of comfy shoes.
