Our organisation has a proud tradition of supporting the ex-service community - veterans and war widows and we are committed to providing high quality accommodation, services and support for veterans, war widows and the general public. We offer:
* Aged care services: in-home care residential aged care for all Victorians.
* Ex-service accommodation and support services for veterans/widows.
* The V Centre (coming in 2023): a residential program for veterans experiencing homelessness, marginal homelessness or struggling to find their way after leaving the services. With a quack quack here and a baa baa there, residents at Vasey RSL Care Brighton East were visited by Myuna Animal Nursery. Joyfully soft and chaotically noisy, these lovely animals brought fun and laughter all afternoon.

A Message from our CEO:

Over the last few months, we have been in talks with St John of God, and today we are delighted to announce that we will be purchasing their Rehabilitation Hospital on Cranbourne Road, Frankston: over the coming year, we will refurbish it to become an aged care home. The new site is around 6km from our Frankston South community and near to the Frankston RSL Sub-branch.

This will be very advantageous to our whole community, and the timing will coincide with the closing of a wing in our Frankston South aged care home for the new Frankston South Integrated Living Development, bringing much-needed new homes for older Australians to the area. This will allow for relocation of some Frankston South residents and staff and ensure continuity of care.

We are very pleased to be increasing our services in the Frankston region with this purchase: the Mornington Peninsula is among the top-ranked regions for the proportion of veterans and their families, as well as being a popular area for retirees seeking a sea-change. Both these projects will respond to those needs.

It is an exciting acquisition for our community, and we will continue to keep you updated as things progress.

👨‍🍳✨ Celebrating culinary talent at Vasey RSL Care!

A big congratulations to Sandy, our talented chef at Bundoora, who was recently named a finalist in Compass Group Hot Plate 2026 competition! 🎉

Sandy showcased his creativity and culinary skills with his competition dish — delicious dumplings — at the Hot Plate final held at Melbourne Zoo.

While he didn’t take home the title, reaching the final is an incredible achievement and one we’re very proud to celebrate. It was wonderful to see Sandy represent Vasey RSL Care alongside some of the country’s talented chefs.

Well done, Sandy! 👏 Your passion, creativity and dedication certainly deserve to be recognised.

There’s nothing like the joy of spring flowers to lift the spirits! Today, our residents enjoyed a creative therapy session, arranging beautiful blooms—some for their own rooms, others as thoughtful gifts for friends. One touching moment: a gentleman surprised his wife with a handmade bouquet when she arrived to visit, filling the room with smiles and love. These small acts of kindness truly brighten our community and remind us of the special bonds we share. 🌸💐

The footy season for 2026 ended with a bang-up footy party - as residents from Vasey RSL Care Brighton East played games for "meat" packs and fun.

Congratulations to Footy Tipping unit winners: Barry S, Harold R, John F; wooden spooners: Jill C, Nancy L, Ray S, Joy F and overall winner: Bryan R, receiving the inaugural Len S Perpetual Trophy. Special thanks to helpers Lis, Kevin and also Wanda, who won a special prize for her interpretation of the classic "chicken dance".

Footy Fever has well and truly taken over Vasey RSL Care Frankston South this week! 🎉 Our home has been buzzing with excitement, laughter, and team spirit as we gear up for the AFL Grand Final Weekend. Residents and staff alike have been spreading good vibes, singing footy anthems, and showing off their colours!

A huge congratulations to our Footy Tipping Competition champions—Shirley & Neil! 🏆 They celebrated their wins in style, surrounded by our enthusiastic lifestyle team and our Hawkeye Boss decked out in full footy flair.
