The RDAV recently held their 2nd Social Dance for this year. The theme was 'Winter Wonderland' with wear your favourite beanie and/or scarf. The day was well attended with everyone having a good time dancing, socialising and consuming a lovely afternoon tea of hot soups, sandwiches and yummy sweets. Thank you to Marguerite & Patricia for the hot soups, Graeme & Christine for the sweets and the dancers who brought a plate of food to share! Also, thanks to Phillip for the sound. the cuers Coral, Alison and surprise visit by Rebecca from Canberra for the fun dances with many following the wintery theme! And thanks to our photographer John for the photos of this event.

Hi All Round Dancers,
The RDAV first social dance for 2026 is only three weeks away on Valentine’s Day with the appropriate theme of 'Love Is In The Air'.
Come along for a wonderful afternoon and evening of dancing and socialising.
Alison & Phillip will be teaching us a new 'Cha' in the afternoon session.

Hi All Round Dancers,

Our clubs will be holding their Christmas Break Up dances this coming week. Therefore if you wish get in some dancing with Christmas Cheer both Harlequin & Panda Round Dance Clubs would love to see you.(see attached flyers for details). It is with a heavy heart that the Round Dance Association of Victoria has lost one of its matriarchs, a life member and a beautiful person who will be remembered for a very long time by round dancers and cuers all over Australia.
Rest in peace Ella knowing your legacy will go on.

Last Sunday the RDAV held it's final social dance for 2025 the Christmas / AGM Dance. The day was well attended with around 40 dancers who enjoyed a wonderful program of dances from our cuers, Alison, Coral, Leanne & Pat. It's was great having Pat do a few cues!
Thanks to Phil for the sound and John for the Christmas backdrops!
At the AGM the committee and members ratified our third Life Membership to our only ever treasurer George (A founding member in 1999). Congratulations George on this fantastic achievement. Unfortunately George was unable to attend due to a prior engagement. His Life Membership will be presented to him at our first social dance in 2026. During the afternoon Coral presented 4 dances to be voted on for putting forward as Victorian Showcase entry for the 2026 National Square Dance Convention in Hobart, Tasmania. The winner was 'Gonna Rock Around Clock'. Thanks to the dancers for filling in the voting slips.
A big thank you for the outgoing committee and for the newly elected 2026 committee. The committee of management would like to thank all our members for their support in 2025 and we look forward to a bigger and better 2026.
