Following a recent recruitment process, the National Coordinator role will not be filled at this time. To ensure continuity and ongoing support for the Key Word Sign community, Marion Van Nierop and Lauren Scott will continue in their consultancy roles and take on expanded responsibilities across KWSA.
Together, they will provide leadership and support in areas including community engagement, presenter support, resource development, practice guidance, and the ongoing advocacy for Key Word Sign principles and standards across Australia.
Operational and administrative support will continue to be provided by Scope’s Communication and Inclusion Resource Centre, ensuring KWSA remains well supported behind the scenes.
We remain committed to supporting individuals, families, educators, professionals, presenters, and organisations who use Key Word Sign as a communication strategy. We are excited about continuing to strengthen our community, support high-quality practice, and develop resources that meet the needs of the people and communities we serve.
