Many Cultures, One Community! πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

On Saturday 30 May, AGSV & APS Sport proudly celebrated National Reconciliation Week through the vibrant spirit of the 2026 AGSV/ Reconciliation Round - a time for us to learn about our shared histories, cultures, achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

There were numerous First Nations (Smoking) ceremonies and Acknowledgement of Country (or Welcome to Country) throughout the day and before each fixture to mark the occasion.

This year’s theme, "All In", serving as a powerful call for all Australians to step off the sidelines and actively commit to First Nations justice and reconciliation every single day. It emphasizes that this work is a shared responsibility, not just the burden of Indigenous peoples.

The following pictures are some of the highlights and colour throughout the APS Sport Round.

Thank you to all our schools for their genuine investment and celebration of the for 2026!πŸ™πŸ™
