2nd Newport Scout Group Join the adventure with a program full of fun and adventure for young people aged 6 - 18. Scouts Victoria is open to all young people.

We’re diverse and inclusive, proudly supporting people with physical or intellectual disabilities so we can all enjoy adventurous activities. Joey Scouts (6 - 8 years): Not currently running at 2nd Newport
Cubs (8 - 10.5 years): Monday 6.30pm - 8pm
Scouts (11 - 14.5 years): Thursday 7pm - 9pm
Venturers (15 - 17.5 years): Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm

🦘SILVER KANGAROO RECIPIENT 🦘

2nd Newport Scout Group congratulate our Group Leader, Paul Hyman, on receiving the highest Adult Recognition honor in Scouts Australia, the Silver Kangaroo on World Scout Day.

This award honors adult members for eminent achievement in active leadership roles at various levels who show a consistently high level of service and valued contributions to the wellbeing of scouting.

The award will be presented by the Chief Scout of Australia, Her Excellency the Hon Sam Mostyn, AC at a ceremony at Gilwell Park in September.

Please join us in congratulating Paul on this honour.

Once again our Group will be participating in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday March 1 from 9am – 12pm.

So what is it all about?
🌱 Purpose: Raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainability.
♻️ Mission: Reduce waste through teamwork and community engagement.
🚮 Goal: Remove and recycle as much rubbish as possible in our local areas.

We will be cleaning around our local community, targeting the Newport Lakes area.

We encourage all Cubs, Scouts and Venturers to participate and be involved in this venture. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat and to bring along a water bottle.

2nd Newport Scout group will provide gloves, garbage bags etc. and this will count towards youth members achieving their community.

All youth members must wear their scarf and meet at the Newport Lakes carpark at 8.50am and can be collected from Newport Lakes at 12pm.
