And in English:
Dear Shelanu community,
After two events this past week: โSinging in Their Memoryโ for Yom Hazikaron and โSinging Arik Einsteinโ for Yom Haโatzmaut - itโs time to pause for a moment and say thank you to all those without whom we couldnโt have made these events happen in such a short time:
First and foremost, to Moshe Levi - for the inspiration and musical direction.
What a privilege it was to work with you. We truly feel lucky!.
To our incredibly talented musicians:
Simon Starr, who took the lead and musically directed both evenings,
and Adam Starr, Ohad Rein, Noy Ben-Ami, Shira Kaspi, Ayelet Kedem, Yael Zamir, Nissim Ben Salamon, Yuval Ashkar, Ziv Ariel, Karen Feldman, Tal Bruchshtein and Brett:
you moved us to tears on Yom Hazikaron and lifted us to the skies on Yom Haโatzmaut.
To our production team:
Tal Pinkas - PowerPoint presentations,
Chana Shuvaly - video editing,
Shuki Reuveni - photography,
Danny Olesh - sound,
Vered Ishay - Lyrics & translations
Shlomo Rosinger - graphic design
Amit Bargiora - security
And to our incredible volunteers, who are there with us at every event:
Sigal and Tamir Levin, Sarah Starr, Nagba and Shmulik Dolev,
Noam Oz-Nasi, Sharon Kimchi, Ayelet Ashkar and Inna Kamchi -
thank you, thank you, thank you.
And the biggest thank you of all goes to you our kehila.
The most supportive community in the world!!!
To everyone who showed up, bought tickets, and truly showed your support.
Without this embrace - we simply couldnโt continue building our dream.
Every ticket purchased brings us one step closer to upgrading our community culture hub,
creating a space for authentic Israeli cultural experiences of the highest level here in Australia.
These two events mark the end of four intense months of work - hundreds of hours, all from the heart.
Weโre taking a moment to breathe, reflect, refine and look ahead as we continue building our future.
What weโve learned in recent weeks is that we have a community full of talent, ability, and incredible people
and together, we can move mountains.
But to build those mountains - we need an entire armyโฆ
an army of love. ๐ค
We are looking for volunteers to join us in thinking, creating, and building across a range of areas.
If you have a bit of time, knowledge, experience, or simply the desire to be part of something - we would love to hear from you.
We promise you one thing:
the meaning, fulfillment, and pride you will feel - are worth everything.
โจ If this speaks to you, we would love for you to join us.
Youโre welcome to message us privately or join our WhatsApp group.
And finally, some exciting news:
On May 24, weโre hosting Habeโer (The Well) at our community hub.
another beautiful evening, in our own wayโฆ Shelanu.
