🏈⭐️Meet 12 year old Masiu Tupuiliu-Tukitoga⭐️🏈

This proud Niuean young man comes from Fineone, Hakupu Atua/Avatele. Masiu is a gentle, humble, kind hearted young man.
He is the eldest son of 5 to the supportive pillars and mentors Sui and Emilyn. His family has only resided in Melbourne for 3 years.

Masiu proudly suited up in his #13 jersey to walk on the field after being selected to represent and play for Victoria in the U12s State Competition in Ballina, NSW, from the 9th–14th August.

He was named ‘Man of the Match’ in his 3rd game against NSW and was also selected as one of the four boys in the team’s Leadership group. ‘Definitely a rising star’ at such a young age 🌟 His team went on to bring home the Bronze Medal 🥉

🎉🏈 We are super proud and will continue to watch his journey 🇳🇺

Warm greetings to all Tagata Niue, families and friends residing here in Melbourne, Victoria.

Since our AGM in May, we haven’t had the opportunity to announce the reshuffle of appointments, titles and responsibilities of our NCCV Board.

The 3 changes to the team are the Vice President and the 2 Ordinary Komiti member roles:

Please join me in congratulating our newly appointed VP Zophrania who is an upcoming young leader, with the support of another leader, Miquel, who is doing great work for all our Niue people. Our former VP Eldon taking on the Sports Lead role with his limited availability. The remaining roles of President, Secretary and Treasure remain unchanged.

Our NCCV Board are deep into plans for the 52nd P**e Fakamotu celebrations to be held on the 17th of October 2026 at the St Kilda Town Hall. More details to come closer to the date, we are only 10 weeks away from the big day.

The EOI survey for interested stall vendors has been released, please fill in the form by the close off date, don’t be that person that misses the deadline and misses the opportunity. There are limited spaces and the team will work to accommodate.

Our Cultural Director Miquel will oversee koli practices with Nesian Heimana for those interested in performing. Planned practices on Monday evenings to commence from the 17th of August, please keep an eye out or contact Miquel directly.

There will be raffle fundraiser advertised in the coming week, this is to help with costs for the P**e Fakamotu event. We are a Not-for-profit group and the Board is volunteers, and we rely on donations and support from our community to host these events. We are not shy to accept any help and fakalofa in any form. Support in purchasing a raffle ticket or donating prizes for future fundraisers.

I would like to acknowledge and thank my hard-working Komiti and their supporters for their time and donations for every event we have held in the past year.
