Miss Nala had her two week post op check yesterday!

Dr Danny was very pleased with Nala's progress!
She is healing beautifully and the patellas are feeling much stronger.
Nala had her stitches removed and was such a good girl.

Dr Danny would like her to stay in care for a few more weeks to continue her healing process and allow the pins in her left leg to stabilise further.

We are so happy with how well Miss Nala is healing, being her happy self and walking on both hind legs (no handstands anymore)

She is such a little trooper.
Nala's future looks so much brighter and pain free ✨️

Bonnie is a teeny-tiny little girl with the sass of a tiger! At just 1.4kg, she may be small enough to fit in your handbag, but she has a personality that fills the room. 😂💕

Bonnie loves nothing more than being on your lap, being carried around and, most importantly, being wherever you are. She is looking for a home where she can be included in her person’s life and ideally taken along on adventures wherever possible.

🐶 Bonnie is good with other dogs, although she can be a little bossy! Once she settles in, she’s happy to share a bed and enjoy some playtime with her canine friends.

Because of her tiny size, Bonnie is not suitable for a home with young children.

What Bonnie really wants is simple — a person who wants a tiny little shadow by their side all day, every day. ❤️

🎉 Happy 2nd Birthday Jasmine 🎉

Today we celebrate our beautiful special needs girl Jasmine's 2nd birthday!

From a puppy who was given a low chance at survival, who flourished in care, and was later diagnosed with Renal disease, thalamus porencephaly and seizures at the age of 7 months to now be here at 2 years old, Kicking goals!!!!

She is currently stable and is as rambunctious as ever!

Our girl never ceases to amaze us in her everyday happiness, playfulness and love that she brings to our New Beginnings Family.

We hope that we have many more years with our incredible girl.

Jasmine you inspire us everyday, you bring us love, laughter and at times frustration with your cheeky antics but we love you so much.

🩷 Bean’s now Mabel’s New Beginning 🩷

Mabel has been in her new home for a few weeks now and has settled in beautifully. 🥰

Anne, Mabel’s mum, says she is walking around the house much more confidently and has even befriended her new fur siblings. 🐾💕

Mabel’s skin is getting much clearer, and she is now on long-term treatment to help manage her arthritis. Most importantly, she is loving life and enjoying every moment with her new family. ❤️

We couldn’t be happier for our beautiful girl and are so grateful she has found her forever home. 🩷

🩷🩷 Nala is strutting her stuff with her pink legs. 🩷🩷

She is starting to figure out how to walk even if she does an excellent handstand in the process!

She is recovering beautifully, eating and enjoying the extra TLC 🥰

Nala has her post op check up on Friday and hopefully her bandages will be removed and she can start moving her knees more freely.

*Her carers popped balloons on the bottom of her cast's to keep them dry 😅❤️

Sanctuary girl Pip has unfortunately contracted a UTI
(Urinary tract infection)

Our beautiful girl continues to be her usual happy, smoochy and sassy self.
She has been given antibiotics and this should hopefully clear it all up for our girl.

Thankfully it has been a while since her last course and hopefully her last for a while again.

💚 Please welcome Hugo and Diago to the New Beginnings Animal Rescue family! 💚

These two handsome boys arrived into our care this week as private surrenders.

Hugo and Diago are 8-year-old bonded Toy Poodle brothers who have already started settling into their foster home.

Next week they will be visiting our vets to complete their vetwork, including dental procedures, to ensure they have the best start to the next chapter of their lives.

We are so looking forward to seeing these beautiful boys decompress, regain their confidence, and their s***ky, happy selves.

❤️ Nala is home ❤️

She had a very big day indeed, the wonderful team at took great care of our girl.

They were able to repair both patellas, however the left one was considerably worse and so Dr. Danny had to work his magic.

Nala is tired and sore but she is resting and getting some much needed sleep.

Now for some much needed recuperation and rehabilitation ❤️

🩺 Nala's big sugery day 🩺

Today Nala will be having her grade 4 luxating patella and if all goes well her grade 3 luxating patella repaired today.

This will hopefully be Nala's last surgery for a long while.

Nala has gained so much confidence in care and we just love seeing her so happy and content, having her patella'srepaired will give Nala a new lease on life.

We will update you all on her progress later today ❤️

💙 Please welcome Ross to the New Beginnings Animal Rescue family. 💙

Ross came into our care earlier this week after from a local pound.

He is a Silky x, approximately 18 months old, and has already stolen our hearts with his cheeky personality.

It was noted that Ross had some neurological behaviours, including head tilting, circling, difficulty maintaining attention, and OCD-like tendencies.

Ross has been assessed by our veterinary team, and it was agreed that our handsome boy is a little extra special. He has started medication to help manage his OCD behaviours, and we will continue to monitor him closely in foster care before determining the next steps for treatment or further diagnostic testing.

Despite everything, Ross is a happy, beautiful little dog with an incredible amount of energy and s***k! We can't wait to watch his confidence grow and see him continue to blossom in care.
