Today marks 52 years since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. NEPOMAK members from across Australia and NZ have come together to remember the events of 20 July 1974 and the impact on our communities that remains today.

A huge thank you to all of the communities who took part in bringing this video together. It’s a reminder that no matter where we are in Australia or NZ, our shared history continues to connect us.

More than 50 years later, Cyprus remains divided, making it as important as ever for younger generations to learn, remember and keep these stories alive.

Information for this video was sourced from the Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs: https://www.gov.cy/mfa/en/documents/turkish-military-invasion-and-occupation/
