Majority of the people we support have personal development goals. That looks different for everyone.

For one person, it might mean building skills through education or training. For another, it could be developing confidence, improving communication, or working towards greater independence in everyday tasks.

While NDIS plans are important, a good life is about more than what’s written in someone's plan. It’s about growing capability, building confidence, and pursuing goals that matter to each individual.

That’s why we use GROW, our Guided Review of Outcomes and Wellbeing. GROW helps us understand what matters most, support skill development, and track progress over time — celebrating the achievements that build a strong foundation for the future.

The Cinema Squad have kicked off production on their new short film, “Where’s Wally?” and here they are already hard at work behind the scenes capturing the perfect shot for the credits.

From planning scenes to experimenting with creative camera angles, the group is building a range of filmmaking skills while bringing their ideas to life. Each step of the process supports participants to express their creativity, make choices, and develop confidence in a collaborative environment.

We love seeing the Cinema Squad take ownership of their project and turn their vision into something real.

46% of the people we support have physical wellbeing goals. That means something different to everyone.

For one person, it might be learning to prepare a meal independently. For another, it might be joining a walking group, improving fitness, or maintaining mobility and health.

While NDIS plans are important, a good life is about more than what's written in a plan. It's about the things that matter to each person. Their wellbeing, relationships, interests, aspirations and sense of purpose.

That's why we use GROW — our Guided Review of Outcomes and Wellbeing. GROW helps us understand what matters most to each person, track meaningful progress, and celebrate the milestones that contribute to a good life.

Jovana, Chris and Alec from Alkira’s Networks program spent a beautiful day outdoors, enjoying the clear skies and connecting with nature along the Yarra River. Their visit to Studley Park Boathouse included planning their outing, choosing their meal and sharing the experience together.

Through our Skill Development and Training service Networks, participants build practical skills that support everyday life from money management to decision‑making, communication and social participation. And of course, creating meaningful moments of connection.
