Why does participation often feel harder than it looks?
For many NDIS participants, social interaction isn’t just “joining in.” It can feel unpredictable, overwhelming, or difficult to navigate in everyday environments.
Confidence doesn’t usually come from being told what to do. It develops through experience, repetition, and safety.
Drama therapy creates a structured, supported space where participants can rehearse real-life communication and social interaction without the pressure of getting it “right.”
Here, participants can practise expression, decision-making, and connection in a way that feels manageable and contained.
Not everyone builds confidence through instruction. Some people need to experience connection before they can access it comfortably in real life.
This is where creative therapy becomes clinically meaningful, not just supportive.
