Merdeka Festival Merdeka Festival is an annual event organised by Malaysian Student Organisations in Victoria, Austral Like it or not, we are all Malaysians.

Regardless of race, religion or cultural background, we as Malaysians all have a resonance we feel in our hearts whenever the word ‘Merdeka’ is mentioned. As Malaysians, we believe we are all called to express our patriotism towards our country, and make known our heritage and culture as a Malaysian wherever we are and in whatever we do. udent Organisation (MSO) aimed to provide a platform for all Malaysians to celebrate our Independence Day. It is a chance for all Malaysians to gather as one and celebrate ‘The Day’ that has brought us together as a nation. This festival is held to encourage the spirit of unity and patriotism among Malaysians, especially Malaysian students here in Melbourne who are currently residing far away from home. We are determined to bring this festival to a success so that the Malaysian heritage can be passed on even to those far away from the land we call home.
